Lori, really and truly, you are exhibiting adrenal fatigue symptoms.
I have a list of things that do work very well, and that can give you the ability to cope while finding a new dr.
Please pm me about them, okay?
:hugs

The best mother's day present I ever got - I told DH to take all the kids and leave for the day. He was baffled, but he did. I sat in the hot tub until I looked like a prune and read a book. It was great.

Hang in there, a lot of us have been there. :hugs Sometimes you just need a break. No matter how much you love someone, they can get pretty tiring eventually.

You are always allowed to rant here as much as you want to. We'll listen and the best part is you can either take our advice or just ignore us and no one's feelings will be hurt

Aw shoot Lori :hugs

I am so sorry that you are feeling so down right now. Get into the Dr ASAP!

I know that overwhelmed feeling, all I can say is that is does pass, kids grow and put less demands on you. You need to find a way to cope until then. What helps you to relax? Exercise? A long bath? Time alone to read? You need to build time for whatever it is that recharges your batteries....every day!

I believe that you are church goer, right? If so, turn it over to God. Pray about it and spend some time reading your bible. Honestly, if you are a believer this will help.
:hugs

Thanks guys....I woke up to another dead mallard this morning, this time one of the older ones was dead in the chicken tractor. I don't know what happened. Could have been stress from moving them or could have gotten smothered, who knows? What is it with these birds? So total, I have lost 9 mallards since the first shipment arrived.

I was gonna go shopping this afternoon but Chad left Tyler's booster seat in his car so I have to wait until he gets home from work, which isn't a bad thing cause I'll get him to take the kids and go by myself cause I still haven't been able to get him a Father's Day gift yet, I tried to look for something the other day but the kids were just being too obnoxious so I left the store with nothing.

I got some cookbooks from the library so I'm gonna spend the day looking at recipes and making a grocery list. Last night's dinner went okay, but my BF called me and said "are you coming or what?" Yeah, I missed the kick off for the summer reading program at the library for the kids. :he So, I told her I was sorry and I couldn't come cause now we have dinner guests and I would meet her at the next event if she would text me the day before so I wouldn't forget. The next one is gonna be at an old plantation home where they board horses and the book is a horse theme.

I'm just done. It poured down rain last night....the lightning woke me up at midnight and realized I had left both dogs on the front porch so I scrambled to get them in before the bottom fell out.

I am cold today. Hubby set the thermostat on 73 and I have chill bumps on me, my son is under a blanket and my daughter is in long sleeves. I just got up and turned the thermostat back up to 76.

Dinner last night was okay...I couldn't eat half of what she brought but everyone else liked it. She made a cake and left it for Chad and the kids. I ate turkey, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob. It was Thanksgiving dinner in June

Then we let the kids play outside until 9 and threw everyone in the shower and I collapsed at around 10. I woke up on the couch at 11 and went to bed. The weather report said a chance of thunderstorms in the evenings for the next 7 days. Fun. I'm not knocking the rain, we need it but I wish it would just rain all day and then be nice for 3 or 4 and rain all day again. It would be easier than having to shut up everything outside every evening. I usually leave the barn windows open for the goats and in the garage but if it is going to rain I have to close them.

Oh, and I have a broody hen. I also have no rooster so I am shoving duck eggs under her as fast as my remaining indian runner can lay them. She was sitting on 3 this morning. She got up off the nest to eat this morning so I shoved another duck egg on her nest and as far as I know she is back on it. So for now we are up to 4 eggs. We'll see what happens. If my duck will keep laying then I will keep shoving eggs under her until she seems satisfied but I think 6 will be my limit. I already have over 30 ducks right now so whatever she may hatch out for me I will sell. It would be nice to have some extra money to pay for a bag or two of feed, especially if I don't have to do any of the work. :D

Congrats on the broody! I sure hope she does well for you. None of my hens have decided to go broody...no matter how many eggs I leave in the boxes.

I've decided to turn the incubator back on and incubate more chicks and also toss in some guinea keet eggs. I'll put those in first, though, since they take 28 days like ducklings do. Then a week later I'll toss in the chicks to see what hatches.

No idea what's killing them, though. Are they being hurt at all?

I may have missed some posts about your ducks/ducklings dying but ... NINE??? That seems very odd to me. Waterfowl are so hardy, normally. I don't usually see them keel over from stress?

I would almost think there must be a disease process or, more likely, something they are eating? Can they be getting any toxic plants? Sprayed insects? Are there poisonous insects where you are? Could there be a problem with their feed?

I think if it were me, I'd seal up their feed and buy a new bag (probably a different brand). Keep them in a pen and off free ranging for a while (except you don't freerange yours do you?). I don't use antibiotics lightly, but I would be considering it in this case, since you are already having high losses.

I wonder what's going on?

And I know you are stressed and run down in general. This can't be helping your frame of mind. HUGS!!! I'm glad to hear of the broody at least -- hopefully she will hatch you a nice batch of ducklings.

I'm so sorry Lori. Things do seem like they are rough for you right now. Just know that we are here and thinking of you and praying for you, and some of us will do any a**kicking for you too! :D

Take a me day ... or even two. It'll help.
