I love your quilt finished! The colors are just terrific!

Seems like we just keep getting rain every few days and the ground won't dry out enough to set up the tent.
With all the rain we're getting, I think it may be June before the ground is dry enough for tent camping!

The quilt is great - you did good. Even though I posted that the black looked great I am glad you didn't listen to me. LOL

Camping sure would be nice - but no tent camping for me. I am to old to sleep on the ground and the camper is in use by the oldest stepson. Ummmm maybe with his new job he will be moving out soon.

Hooray for the electric bill. Mine will be sky high next month. I had to dry clothes 2 weekends in a row. Its probably going to be a million dollars.

Thank you Wanda! It was so nice today and I was thinking that maybe we could set up the tent Saturday but we keep getting these evening showers and it got really cold tonight.

Well, last night was eventful. My daughter got her finger closed in the bathroom door, thanks to big brother, and almost completely ripped off her fingernail on her pinky finger. It is hanging on by a thread so we are off to the pediatrician to get her to take a look at it just to make sure everything is okay. She is doing better this morning and keeps holding her pinky (complete with barbie bandaid) out like an English woman drinking tea.

Baking bread and blueberry muffins and waiting for the sun to dry out the front yard so I can finish mowing. Maybe by the time the bread is done I'll be able to go out and finish it. The wind is blowing a bit so that will help dry things out. Gonna plant my garden next Thursday and Friday. Farmer's almanac says that's the time to sow seeds for my area so I'm gonna go with it.

Hubby went to see his dad last night and took him an arial(sp?) view of the land we want. He seems okay with it, we told him we would like 6 or 8 acres and he seemed fine about it. Chad told him why we wanted what we wanted. We would have about 5 acres of pasture, 1 acre of part pasture and part woods for the house site and then 2 acres of woods that butts up to a pond that his uncle put in next door. I'm not getting my hopes up yet cause he has been going back and forth on this for 3 yrs now. It figures that when I finally start to get this house the way I want it hubby wants to move again. The only bad part is that the property taxes are really high in that county. The school system is better so if we had to I could put the kids in school and go back to work, lord willing, somewhere to help with the bills.

Maybe I could get 30-40 goats and start making soap and selling for meat like Farmerchick! I could get a greenhouse, like Punkin, and start selling all kinds of plants! I could make all sorts of clothes, like Pamspride, and sell them too! I could make quilts and sell them like Morel. I could just start stealing all kinds of profit making ideas from everyone!!!! ;)

Maddie is fine, 2 doctors later and hours of my life I'll never get back, the orthopedic surgeon told us to keep a bandaid on it. They were concerned that she may have cracked a bone or torn her nail bed which would require surgery to repair. Poor thing was scared to death. They had to tape her arm to the table to do the x-ray.

Went to my sewing machine class and had a ball! Met the nicest man that does leather work and his wife makes a lot of clothing, they were so funny. It was nice to get out of the house and do something by myself for a change.

Friday

Had a good day today, busy but good. Had lots of errands to run and it really wore us out. Started the day out with a bargain, though. We went to the sale at the local library and got 17 books and 1 DVD for $5!!!! So excited!

Finished mowing the grass, finally, and managed to break the lawnmower. Chad was able to fix it, thank god.

Gonna go to a birthday party tomorrow afternoon and then come home, set up the tent and camp out in the yard! I have hot dogs and marshmallows to roast over the fire and the kids are so excited to use their new sleeping bags. The weather is supposed to be sunny and around 80 degrees!!! Should be pretty good.

We rented a chipper for the neighborhood and we are gonna clean up the storm damage from our last big snow storm and the sides of the roads in the neighborhood so it is easier to mow the edges of the road. We already have one neighbor that has gone through and cut down limbs and stuff but Chad is going to help him grind everything.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!
