That looks like duckie paradise :D

As for dog houses, that is what I use for my ducks. 2 of them I can just lift the top portions off. I put fake eggs in those so they lay in there, but they like to sleep in the dog igloo :D
I love dog igloos, I got one from CL for $25!

DS hasn't been sick since hes been home. DD hasn't gotten a nap because we had to pick DS from school but I think she has gone to sleep now. WHAT A DAY! I'm having an adult beverage! I didn't get around to taking care of the animals until late because I had to get DS. I was praying I would make it to the gas station without running out of gas! By the time we got back home it was lunch time and the kids were getting restless and cranky but I wanted to get the animals done real quick first. So I finally got the ducks, chickens, bunnies, pig, tortoise, dogs, and cats fed and watered and cleaned up poo on all fronts. I come inside and clean DD's poo then get lunch going. No sooner I start making lunch I hear the chickens making a fuss and look out the window and there's a hawk getting my frizzle! I run downstairs and out the door to try to save her. The hawk flew off and left her laying there but she was cut up too bad. I thought I would put her out of her misery and cut her neck (thought it would be good practice for the big day too). I learned two things....one: use a SHARP knife and two: be determined! :hit I should've let that hawk have her....or maybe I proved a point that there will be no free lunches here buddy. :idunno
I'm worn out! :th

So sorry about your frizzle, LL. :( What a shame. I do not like hawks!!

Hang in there, & maybe consider having another adult beverage. :/

So sorry about the little frizzle. They are so cute, and really are easy to get attached to. I just lost one I have had for almost 5 yrs.
Darned hawks!! Too bad we can't...get rid of them. All my little banty chickens are in covered runs.
Hope the kiddo's are feeling better soon!!!
What a day you have had...have another "adult beverage" ;)

Thanks ya'll. I just feel so bad because I was trying to do the dang bird a favor by making her death quick and painless, and I didn't.....stupid knife. I just kept thinking the hawk would've be done by now.

All I can say is that I sympathize with you. We all have more than our share of those days. I lost my little frizzle last month to either a hawk or a possum.
