Oh they are beautiful!

Isn't that the same buckling you had at Roger's about a month ago that I thought was going to sale? He's grown!

Becca has Russian Orloffs. I'm looking into (ok, I have eggs ordered for) Bantam Russian Orloffs.

I love my bantams! :love

Yep that's the buck kid I had down at Rogers. He has really grown he's about the same size as the doe in the picture below him and she's about a month older than he is. I'm so happy to have him. I have 2 other does from the same herd and just love her animals.

I like the look of the Russian Orloffs and thought he would be awesome to cross over my ameracauna and ameracauna cross hens to get more color. I may get a couple hens later, but I don't know.

I have two russian orloff hens, and I get to like them more and more all the time. They lay a medium egg but very consistently, I don't know what people were saying about them being poor layers. They lay GREAT. They also went broody and raised chicks for me but I have no orloff roo. I wish I did not that I've ended up liking them so much.

I do have an americana cockerel I just bought and was going to cross him with the orloff hens, so I can take pictures of how mine come out like that, but it will be later in the year. I wish I had access to your orloff roo!

:frow Hi, em,
Welcome to NPIP world. :) Glad it went well. I've also only listed only the breeding groups I have and not my random layers. The breeds go in a directory for others to find you according to breed(s).

I'd still like some of those RCRIRs. :hide

I'm now an owner and potential breeder of LF Spangled Russian Orloffs. I hatched 3 from eggs from a BYCer and found a nice pair at Mount Hope. She laid an egg Sunday but not yesterday. It's in the incubator. :D But I really should stop adding breeds or I'll have to cull another group like the Speckled Sussex that QA just adopted.

Anyone want to buy a Buff Orpington quad.

I think QA should reschedule a SS cookout. It was very fun visiting with you Friday. :)

I'm up for a SS cookout. It was really nice meeting you guys as well. The Orloff really was only to cross over the ameracaunas, but DH says there's not many around and if I bred good ones it would be worth it. I told him to stick to the Reds LOL! and I wanted my Salmons. I just love the look of them. Plus they'll match the colors with my Nubians. The only other real flock that we have our DD's Polish and she just has a mixed bag of colors. She mostly likes the splashes and the blues so that is what we keep.

I can help you out there! I won't have Standard offspring until next year, but hopefully I'll be getting eggs from those Bantams soon! :D

As for an SS cookout -we'll have to see. Pretty busy around here lately.

And if we do it, maybe a more centralized location in Ohio than at the Harrison County Campgrounds. :hu

Got enough milk that I'm going to be making cheese tomorrow. (cross your fingers). I have to run tonight to a drs appt. and then to go get some fleeces ready for Great Lakes Fiber Festival this weekend. I have a lady that wanted some raw jacob fleeces and we just got them off so now I gotta go and skirt them. Yay what fun. The lady just got our sign done and says I can come and get it tonight or tomorrow. I got to pick up her spinning wheel she has for sale to and ask her about trimming llama hooves. I've never done it and I've got a guy that asked if I could. I told him I'd have to get back to him after I see how its done and see if I'm comfortable with it.
