Agreed.

Finally getting a few drops of rain today. Hope it continues. My garden really needs it. And maybe it will cool us down from high 90's. Unfortunately, it's only a very light sprinkle and seems like it'll last only a very short time.

Training is going well with puppy. Knows his name and does "sit" on command. Working on him knowing that "mat" means he needs to find his mat and sit on it. THAT one will take longer. Mat will be helpful when we go to restaurants and so forth.... place the mat under my kid's chair and he'll go there and lay down until we're done and ready to leave. Something that will be necessary when the dog goes with us everywhere... movie theater, restaurant, library, etc.

So so so hungry. Just knowing I'm working to get healthier is playing havoc with my mind. I want a big juicy cheeseburger, with onion rings and a huge soda!

Can I, please?

ARGH!

Eat the cheese burger. Just wrap it in lettuce instead of putting it on a bun. Fry up onions and put those on the burger, and make the soda a diet cream soda.

I agree with the meal Zilla, except for the diet pop part. I just can't do diet pop. :sick Change that over for a flavored iced tea - maybe mint since it is so hot - and I will be all over that meal. :drool

But the buttered bun is one of the best parts of the burger!

(picture big ole me, whining)

I'll trade the soda for an iced tea tho. Sounds better right now.

Cook the burger in butter :D

The diet pop is something I work on. I am slowly weaning away from it, but it is still better to have that than a regular soda!

Now that is the ticket! :thumbsup

... or how about cooking in some bacon grease? Oh and you might just have to cook a slice or two of bacon to get that grease. :ep :drool

So is senseless vandalism growing or has it always been x% of the population, we just have a huge population and therefore a higher number of vandals?

I mean... stealing an entire plant? And kicking it around after? Stealing to eat makes sense. Vandalism doesn't.
In my humble opinion, it's worse. Too many folks with too little to do. Before I start sounding like an old fuddy-duddy, I did stupid stuff as a kid, too, but it was in rare free time. In my daughter's circle of HS friends, only one has a "job" and it's because her parents own a business.

I "hired" the next door neighbor's 13 yo kid to mow my front lawn this summer. Did it twice and gave up.

No work ethic, even tho the parents work hard.

Sure when I was growing up we had summers off but mother still made us read at least one biography a week from the library and we continued weekly piano lessons and daily hour of practice. When I got into my mid-teens, tho, I was expected to get a part-time job, increase my home chores, etc.

Don't see much of that any more.

We just had a "come-to-Jesus" moment in this house this past weekend. "We should be allowed to just hang out because its summer". :D
