Thanks for the support and the help.
I don't have any straw yet but have old hay so on Sunday I'll put a thick layer of hay around the seedlings. I don't know how old they are but they are all about 6-8 inches tall with more than 4 leaves. Should work, right? The weather people have now changed their predictions for next week from snow to just cold with rain, high in the 50's. But here in colorado, we've been known to have blizzards all the way through May!
Our last frost is supposedly late May.
I'll plant the strawberries and potatoes in early May. Should have hay by then. If not, I have plenty of bags I could cover them with, in the event of a snowstorm or hard freeze.
Wonder how soon I can start my radishes? Hubby's craving them. Me, I could do without ... but let them go way too long after harvesting time, and it's like eating horseradish! THAT I like!
