I am going to keep some wethers for meat, hopefully. But that's only temporarily keeping, that doesn't count!

Lol Chester, hey having goats to sell isn't too bad.

If my minis milk well and my Nigie doesn't step it up, I'll have to decide if she's worth my effort. She has delicious rich milk but doesn't put out a whole lot. If I can't change that, it might be worthwhile to sell her in milk and just keep the minis. She's a grain hog, and the herd queen so she is most definitely costing me money!

Ya know....I might not say this anywhere else - but my Nigi's are my LEAST favorite goats. My original doe is an easy milker with nice big teats, but at only a couple cups its just not worth my time. :(

That's how I'm feeling. Lilly has small teats and I have big hands so my hands cramp when I milk her. I get a over a quart a day from her at peak. Biggest problem is she peaks and then declines fast. She is not a long term milker. Turns out she was dried off her first year after 2 months. That can't have helped.

I do want a registered Nigie buck, but I'm not interested in getting more does. Or maybe even keeping the one I have, lol.

Well I sent them her pic and registration info. They have other goats and want to add another registered doe to the herd... Sounds like the kind of people I would want to deal with... We shall see! My daughter is MAD at me! My husband is on board though. He is super into rare breeds so he's on the golden geurnsey train with me! And he likes my minis way more than any of the Nigies I've had
