No kidding! I know its Craigslist and all... But seriously people is it so hard to be decent? Also, do people realize I can see their name when they email me? It's not anonymous for you, dummy! Lol

My husband ended up spending his morning dealing with goat stuff with me, and his afternoon working. He has to work all day tomorrow. And he might have to work all day Monday, I know it's not a holiday for everyone but still.... Drowning in work here!!

We have to move the meat birds, set up a new chicken fence, catch a couple chickens and relocate them, deal with nest boxes in 2 coops, move part of the goat fence, move the temporary goat houses, move the pig fence (when she runs out of stuff to eat she starts trying to escape), give 3 CDT shots, deworm a couple goats, trim Clifford's hooves... Aaaand set up a winter turkey pen, set up a mini coop for the 2 cornishes, butcher a pig.... And build a barn.

That doesn't include butchering around 24 chickens and a pig.... Or hunting season... Or stocking up on hay... Or fixing our Jeep... Or the fact that we're adding a human in 4 months:hit

And I can't even drink wine...:th

Holy Cannolli! Ya'll's 'to do' list is massive! It makes mine look miniscule in comparison! That's it - DH just needs to take a week or six off and help get all this stuff taken care of! Ya'll got a little human coming...everything may come to a screeching halt for that occasion!! :)

We have more than that too I'm afraid. Inside stuff. But that can be done after winter hits so I skipped it (for now). I try to organize by importance so it seems like more manageable chunks but sometimes it's just... Overwhelming!

We don't do screeching halt, lol. No time for screeching halt! But all of the above list must be done before winter. So... We've had freak Halloween snowstorms before and that can NOT happen this year!

Also it's DD and DH's birthday month so yay!

Oh wow! No Halloween snow! You need winter to hold off for an extra month or six! You could send just a tiny bit of it down this way. I'd gladly take a little bit of it off your hands.

Yay or nay on pig butchering next weekend? Sounds like you weren't quite ready for this, lol!

I need to do the same - just need to wait for a cool spell here since I'm intending to do it myself. Course - around here that could mean waiting til February...geeze!

Yeah no it's fine, just not what I had planned to do. But no big deal, it has to get done sometime! Also hoping to butcher about 8 chickens in the next week or two. 4 dorking cockerels and 4 cull hens.

Got an email (with a picture!) from the people I sold my wether to saying how he settled in really well and they adore him. Makes me happy!

Lol they aren't registered, but they have all their lineage tracked. The farm they got their breeding stock from doesn't register. I don't really care. After trying to sell registered vs. unregistered goats here, sometimes it doesn't seem worth it to deal with the paperwork and fees. Plus for the foreseeable future they'll be bred to Clifford or a Nigie buck so it doesn't matter much!

Yes they'll be from the same farm. I'll link it at some point, phone is being lame right now. She said she is in love with them. They're gentle and sweet, and have amazingly creamy milk (and her other goats are lamanchas!) and makes the best cheese. I'm SO EXCITED! I was considering keeping my Nigie doe but if I sell her, maybe I can get 2 doelings! We'll see... At least one though!
