I'm going to look at places tomorrow at one dealer, and my mom is waiting for a call back from the place they got their double wide from. Evidently all the dealerships dump their inventory this time of year for cheap because they pay a monthly fee to the manufacturer and you can't really install places in the winter here. So we'll see what's out there.

Glad to hear your closing in on a new place :) but don't move to Chicago, it's rough.

I hope things work out well for you and quickly, @NH Homesteader :fl

I like the trunk-or-treat idea. Yesterday was a bust here at my house. I got exactly 3 trick-or-treaters, who happened to walk past as I was at the door. All the kids went round the housing estates, where most of the houses are occupied, and avoided the quieter road where I live. Not complaining about the bowl of candy I bought to hand out though ;) That, plus the big bag of goodies DS brought home yesterday evening will keep us sugared up for a week or more lol

Found 3 places I like. One is plain but will work, one is a bit nicer, one is a stretch... waiting to hear back from DH's concrete buddy about cost and time frame of pouring a bigger slab and FIL is going to play businessman and try to get a deal. Should be in a new house one to four weeks from now.
