It poured last night, but our snow is going away so I'm cool with it! Actually only the parts of the yard that don't get much sun still have snow on them.

Woke up with a headache. I think I overdid it in the sunshine yesterday. It got up to 83, which is a shock for us! Back down to the 60's today.

Hoping DH finishes everything to get the pig butchered tomorrow. He keeps going back and forth about whether he thinks it'll happen or not.... I am trying to be patient!

Wow - 83! We were at 84 over the weekend, but have only been in high 70's because of being overcast. Got a bit over an inch of rain yesterday. It was just enough.

Got the hole dug. The ground was definitely still frozen! DH took over for me, I was getting nowhere lol. Now need to get some welding wire so DH can finish setting up and we should be good to go. Started taking down old fencing and cleaning up the yard some more. Almost all the snow is gone, since it rained most of the day!

:fl for butcher day tomorrow! Then starting seeds Friday.

Congrats on the hole digging! Hope you get him done tomorrow. I know it'll be nice to get him off of the feed bill!

Sure will be! And I'm sick of him beating up the girls too. Won't have any more butchering til late summer/fall. I hope.

Only 2 weeks until baby turkeys, and 3 weeks until our chicks arrive. I'm very excited about our Dorkings! I've spent the past month waiting for snow to melt because I couldn't do anything outside until it did. Now I suddenly have WAY too much to do! Lol!

Glad that your snow is finally melting. It must be nice to get rain and not more snow!

You have no idea! It has been a rough winter. Now we just have to get through about a month or so of mud and massive amounts of ticks, and it'll be warm enough for both to subside. We rarely have tick issues in the summer (unless we go in the heavy woods). But before then, it's tick city here. So gross!

Yeah I hate them! Well my husband is welding now, finally. Which means today is not going to be butchering day, I would guess. Kind of late to start that project. Let's hope for tomorrow.

I am cooking a heritage turkey right now. I've never cooked one, believe it or not. We just keep them apparently, lol. We'll see how it is, trying to go low and slow so it doesn't dry out.
