Had Christmas festivities with FIL today. Exhausting but good time. DD1 can't handle the excitement and acts like a jerk. I just don't know how to explain to them that it's her anxiety and she's a really sweet kid that has horrible defense mechanisms. Sigh.

Sil that we hate(who was not there) gave the kids cheap gifts, whatever, but I broke an ornament they gave them on accident. FIL gave me a hard time lol. Then we got home and I cut my dang finger on the broken ornament! Figures!

They don't say anything but you can tell they don't totally "get" her. They try though. I just wish everyone else could see her being brilliant and sweet and content. She's just so different at home in her element. Ah well. So now I have to plan a housewarming party when we're settled. I HATE hosting. It is not my thing! Lol I will try! Maybe DH will roast some pork or something...

Well -- here's a thought. It's not finished yet. Your weather may get to your "normal" and with a foot or two of snow, you may not have to do this until SPRING :rolleyes:cookout!!

I haven't been able to unpack much with crawling, teething baby. But DH is here today and it's raining so he'll help. He has to butcher a pig today though too, I forgot about that. And I'm hoping he does a goat too. One wether is being picked on by the goats and sheep, so I'd like to get him done soon. Also if we don't like goat meat we'll sell the other one and not bother butchering him.

We're smoking some pork and feeding the workers tomorrow, they're working tomorrow instead of today because of the weather.

One of the ones we got from his coworker. They're obnoxious, I wish he's butcher them all today!

Yep 3 of them, but one isn't ours. A friend is buying the grain, we're taking care of them and he's taking one as a roaster .

Bigger but DH has been feeding them a lot lol. I am hopeful!
