[NH Homesteader]

Oh yuck! Thankfully with my first two I got over it, and I'm feeling like I will with this one too. I have been getting killer headaches every few days, which sucks because I can't take ibuprofen, and usually one ibuprofen and two tylenol is my miracle cure.

DH doesn't want to bother tapping because we don't have time or ability to do a lot of syrup. I'm trying to tell him, it's fun for the kids (well one of them) regardless of how much we do. So we'll see if we bother. The weather is awful for it, one warm day then back to cold. They say snow Friday (shearing day, ugh!)

I don't know if I should, but I know I don't have a coat for them so I know I won't, lol. I can kick Patty out of the barn if need be. The woman I got them from said they need 24 hours to get lanolin back and then they're good regardless of how short their wool is.

I am not seeing good sap weather. Yo yo temps and then too warm by end of next week... probably won't bother for the amount of work it is. DH has plenty of other stuff to do!

I had no idea - that's good to know!

No sap... Oh well, there's always next year!

Maybe DH will get motivated this weekend and want to tap, who knows. My guess is he's more likely to want to paint, to get that over with! He has to finish one wall in the kitchen and the hallway, then we have paint for the bathroom and laundry room, and the living room. Then he can take a break until I buy more paint

We'll have to start seeds soon too... better go buy stuff for that!

Sometimes you just gotta take life, and chores, a day at a time, lol. My plans backfire all the time but ya just head off in another direction and do something else. I've got a short attention span so it works for me!

I am learning to be flexible but I am not by nature. I am a planner and it really bothers me when I have to change said plans. But children, animals and mother nature are forcing me to get over it lol.

Both dogs got baths and nail trims today. I am not very popular right now! Got dishes and laundry done, vacuumed, organized and tossed a bunch of stuff in the craft and homeschooling drawers, cleaned the kids bathroom... I don't feel great but I feel good enough to catch up on some stuff. Now I have to go to the dump and think about dinner.

Somehow, it kinda seems to me that "dump" and "dinner" don't belong in the same sentence, lol!
