I still do the normal soap down if I've been working in the yard or other dirty work.
The other days- I only use soap on the areas more likely to get an odor. I still wash my hands with normal soap before doing stuff in the kitchen. Wont take any chances there.
DL, my granny always called that washing "possible"... When I asked her what that meant, she replied, "I stand at the sink and wash as far down as possible, then I start at my feet and wash as far up as possible....then I wash possible." :gig

I do this also....usually only wash the stinky stuff unless I'm sweaty, dirty and nasty. The older I get the more I battle dry skin.

I'm going to try weaning from soap and see how it goes! You guys are a wealth of info, you know that? :D
Did you also know, that using soap on "possible" is bad for women? Messes up the PH balance badly. And actually causes odor. And not the good kind :)

Hahaha! I've got a good one for you all!
If any of you ever try the egg shampoo, under no circumstance rinse it out with hot water.
I read of a lady that did this in a big hurry, wrapped a towel around her hair, and ran out the door to work.
Figured she would comb it after she got there.
Well, she parked, pulled the towle off, and was horrified to see that the egg had cooked due to the hot water, and was matted throughout her hair  :gig
This made me laugh so hard!!

Does anyone here do any tea rinses? I've done a sage tea rinse, but only once, didn't notice any difference..

Ha. Ha. Been there done that. I've also tried the mayo conditioner, ewww. I had to wash my hair about 17 times to get it un-greased.

BB - I have done lemon/peppermint/chamomile tea rinses, I felt refreshed, and smelled faintly like tea, but I didn't notice any actual difference in my hair.

Sage rinse is used for brunettes to make hair stay/look darker.
Black walnut shells make a dark dye that is used as a rinse.

Cold chamomile tea is used for blonds that want to keep it light. Marigold petals are for more strawberry blond highlights.

Many shampoos add sage extract. I stopped using two brands because my hair was getting darker from it.

:gig "possible" too funny! Of all the names grannies give that area, "possible" is the funniest yet! (My granny called it her "pocketbook" :p)

Ok BBrooks what do you do with possible? I have to ask!

ETA: I asked "BB" that question meaning BubblingBrooks, I think Blackbird would appreciate the clarification. :p

Pocketbook :D ! Now that conjures up soem interesting ideas why she might call it that

Anywho.....plain old water works just fine for me.
I bit of all natural soap on occasion, if needed.
