:weee no smoking I will be joining you soon.

Here's something, imagine if the next ciggie you touched would cost you the amount that you would spend on smokes for the rest of your life.... You also don't ever need to smoke again to confirm that your a non-smoker. Once you put them down, leave them alone for good. Also there is no social time to confirm your a non-smoker. You are now a non-smoker, and in 21 days your body will be free of the chemicals.

No not even a puff, trust me, as I am still smoking, your not missing anything but bad taste, nasty breath and a anti-social habit. Rejoice in your new freedom, and when the pangs/cravings hit, be happy that your no longer a slave to the self destroying habit of smoking the legal weed.

Remember smokers have been brain washed to think they need cigs to calm them or have confidence, when in fact that is a lie. When I do decide to stop in the near future, I will be done with it for life. I will not return to the filthy habit ever again, no matter what.

Whatever the highs or lows in my life, I would have those anyway whether I was a smoker or not. Smoking also doesn't make us calmer or less stressful, just the opposite. So it isn't a tool, its a drug addiction that unlike other addictions can be stopped quite simply by not doing it.

I am going to be joining the rest of you non-smokers very soon... :thumbsup :ya

Thank you Gina!
Gear on up MP! I've got the "clearing out the lungs hack" right now. Similar to the skin reaction you get on a detox diet or a fast, know what I mean? I can see the tar being cleared out of my lungs :sick

Hmmm, the next cigarette would cost me... $3.90 a pack, 1 pack a day, I might live to be 60 if I still smoke, so that's 30 years at 1,423.50 :ep $42,705!!!
Forty two THOUSAND, seven hundred and five dollar cigarette!!

There's my house. wow...

A pack is 6.23 here... So at $9.38 a day, $3423.70 a year, I expect to live longer than 60, so I used 70 or my next 30 years, that would cost me $102,711.00. What would I have to show for it? Add that and my DW habit cost, that figure is $187,900.00 and for what? Killing ourselves and taking days/years to die sooner? I love life, I love my kids, and I want to be free of this filthy habit.

I have never quit or tried too, I have had to do very tough things in my life, so I figure it might be as bad as going into muscle failure when doing a workout, just it will be everyday for a short period of time.

When I do quit, I expect I might be one of those non-smoker naggers towards other smokers. But truth is I don't have many friends that even smoke, a few chewers, but not smokers.

In the next few days, I will be smoking my last cig, while doing so I plain to take it in and ask myself " does it taste good, does it complete something in my life, is feeding this nicotine monster inside me worth the debut and months/years off my life?"

Soon I will be facing and crushing that nicotine monster, and in time, good or bad, I will kill him in the next 21 days....

:celebrate :hugs :clap :woot :smack :ya :weee :frow :bun

I could buy a small house for that, or build my own for sure!
A reeeeaaaaalllllllly big, nice house with a huge yard, outbuildings & landscaping in my town is $250k or so. We's cheap in Mississippi

EXACTLY!
This is day 6 of the quit. I have smoked a few (3-4) since Friday, but I'm not counting them as failures (thanks free) and I'm not starting over my days, because it was a slip that I don't have to repeat. And it's my quit, darn it, I don't have to count it if I don't want to

You know, these little hot suckers do a serious number on a smoke craving. They are HOTHOTHOTHOT, but oh so tasty. DH and DD are flat out addicted to them. DD has been eating them since she was 2, when she kept insisting on having one of the "pickles" daddy was eating. After saying "You don't want this, it's hot" several times, he touched one to the end of her tongue. Instead of spitting & wiping her mouth, she opened it for more! So he gave her a teeny-tiny one. She ate it, her faced turned red and she came back for more!!! She's been eating them ever since.

Day 7, and I haven't had any smokes at all since this past weekend. I'm not reaching for my pack any longer either, I'm reaching for my bag of veggies.
