Ohiofarmgirl'sAdventuresinTheGoodLand-where ya been? whatcha been doin

ohhhh yes we can..... we are kinda wondering where that 78 lbs of ham is going so fast...

actually we'll probably hold off until june - that worked out perfectly. but i'm gonna call the guy with the Tamworths and the Herford crosses to make sure we can reserve some... they were perfect.

and we saw that the cow babies are arriving at the local dairies so there is all that veal to raise before we get them no account pigs

whoot! summer!! its rolling in!!!

:-)

BACON!!!! How can you have too much bacon??? And lard? I can't wait for December!

Wait a minute....let's not skip over spring, summer, and fall just so I can have my bacon.....

yeah Free... i just got out from under winter's horrible incarceration!

whoot!

AM report:

* sun is shining
* ducks are on the pond
* turkey's are turkeyin'
* hens are layin'
* geese are currently not screaming, nor are the guineas
* and Queen Vita (our big goat) is reining over her servants (the chickens and other goats)

wow what a morning all ready!

between Vita and Debbie i got a nice bucket of milk for the hens. Vita still has some drugs runnign thru her system and the breeder told us to worm her.. so we are still a ways off from having cheese.. but soon.. very soon...

headed out soon as i can.. i believe i can even get some real gardening done as we are almost dried out in the upper garden.

Same here! Right this min. we're in the house scarfing down a fast lunch, and then it's back outside. Until 2:30 pm...that's when the kids have to hit the books again.

Wow, glad to see everyone enjoy warm temps today :)

We woke up to rain, but the sun is out now and they sky looks pretty clear. The chickens are happy.
