I'm a bare footin' flip floppin' hillbilly here, and I've mucked out the barn in flip flops - ask Becca she was totally grossed out by it.
No barefeet here either. I had Crocs on one day and got one of those lawn bees inside my shoe. Stung my middle toe before I could kick the shoe off! Owie! It came in the hole at the front of the Croc. I love my Crocs, but I wear closed toe shoes when in the yard almost all the time after that.Javamama said:No barefoot here either - we have lawn bees :/ (those are just bees in the clover, not a particular type of bees ) Last summer my son stepped on one the day before we went to King's Island. Thank goodness I had my herbal knowledge to go on and he was able to walk. Foot coverings are a rule here!
When I just had the horse, I was known to be around her in barefeet on occasions (when she was old and crippled, only!). With the goats, that ended. Nothing like nanny berries stuck between your toes!!!Quail_Antwerp said:I'm a bare footin' flip floppin' hillbilly here, and I've mucked out the barn in flip flops - ask Becca she was totally grossed out by it.

I bought my very own belt sander to sand a table I found on the side of the road so could refinish it.freemotion said:The only thing that works is sanding them down.....
