Clean? Who wants to be clean...on purpose? Today I brought Ginger and Peach in at the last possible moment and hopped in the shower, put on a skirt and a t-shirt and some earrings, ran to the car......then ran back to the house, because my feet haven't toughened up yet (fortunately!) and I noticed that I'd forgotten to put on shoes......I've done that many times, gotten in my car and got all the way to the office before noticing that I was barefoot. When I rented space next to an insurance guy, he would come out when he saw me drive in, just to see if I'd remembered my shoes that day! :p

thats hilarious! usually we get down the road a ways before i realize i still have my barn boots on...

i'll never forget the company xmas party we went to - it was country themed. everyone else dressed up in their finest country-wear. we just wore our normal clothes. at the end of the nite they were taking down all the decorations and we were hauling the new/clean straw bales thru the hotel lobby to our work truck.

one of the (drunk) bosses stopped us and asked us what we were doing and i said, this ain't no get up honey, we really live like this!

he laughed. i thought he was an ... well... you know. but we got free straw!!! whoot! we laughed the whole way home (and yes i asked for the kerchiefs that were left over table decorations and yes i use them as part of my hard workin farm gear!)

:)

and using coconut oil on them!

I have a sander, er *foot paddle* that I keep in the shower and I sand mine down often. When I get out of the shower I also slather up with coconut oil (yum) and if my feet are fairly clean by the end of the day (remember, no farm here :( ) I slather them up again in the evening.

I live barefoot (see I do belong in the country) and always battle cracked heels. I have seen a huge improvement over the last couple weeks since I started using the oil.

Still jealous, still jealous, still jealous....

There will be no barefootin' around this farm this summer.... You would have to watch out for dog's, chicken's, duck's and sheep's landmines. It's much better to keep your feet covered. :D

No barefoot here either - we have lawn bees :/ (those are just bees in the clover, not a particular type of bees ;)) Last summer my son stepped on one the day before we went to King's Island. Thank goodness I had my herbal knowledge to go on and he was able to walk. Foot coverings are a rule here!
