i will happily assist them in their licking of cane toads if it means i never have to see them again. when i was a nanny, i seriously thought the Wiggles would be the end of me, professionally and mentally. :he

I don't remember the first time I said that, but it was the last time either of my kids watched the Wiggles (years ago at a sitter's), there was some freaky, trippy stuff going on. :th

They & Barney were banned from my house. And the weird fluffy things, can't remember the name? And the Teletubbies. In fact, most of the kid's tapes or dvds we were given were returned. BANNED!

But we did have every single Veggie Tales tape there was :p
And 321 Penguins, I like them too :)

The weird fluffy ball looking things are Boobah's. All of that crap was banned from my house. We usually only allow Kids PBS and when they show Barney my kids usually wander away and go play. I don't know what age goup it's intended for but if you can't capture the minds of a 2 1/2 year or a 4 1/2 year old, you're probably going to end up out of PBS' lineup at some time.

We were a Wiggles, Barney, Caillou, Teletubbies and the other poofy things-free house too. Dora was also banned because THAT GIRL ALWAYS SHOUTS. SHE DOESN'T EVER USE HER INSIDE VOICE AND IT DROVE ME NUTS!!!!!!!!

well i must confess my kids don't really get to watch cartoons unless it's something we have on dvd or video... and yes, we kept our VHS tapes lol

I don't let them watch that pokemon or yugi i what ever it goes that's from Japan - and half the time they're talking in some language i don't know - call me paranoid, but I half suspected those cartoons to be some kinda conspiracy infiltration system invented by the Japanese - because frankly, my family (grandparents) lived through Pearl Harbor, and we ain't forgot their threats.... :hide but, we did buy the original Voltron series a few years ago for the kids (and after we watched every episode, sold them all on eBay for more than we paid), and She-Ra and He-Man....I'd like to find the Thundercats...........

we bought up a bunch of cartoon dvd's at Walmart a few years ago for $1 each that were the original bugs bunny (looney toons), The American League, Tom and Jerry, and a few others we remembered from the 70's and 80's.

These new cartoons make no sense, and IMO are trashing our kids' brains.

Chowder is banned as is Flapjack. Now that is a demented cartoon!
He does watch T&J and Garfield once in a while.
