i have another friend who has a younger son who is a great poultryman in the making - but he's too young for 4H.

Hot and vaguely grumpy here.
I need 4H kids... DS is 8 now. Our local group is not very active it seems. I keep running into people from another group a little further away. They're the goat and chicken people. But with Cub Scouts and gymnastics and baseball, this spring was not the time I wanted him in another activity.

It is finally cooling off here. It was only 75 at 7am. I'm so ready to be done with this darn heat wave.

Isn't it crazy how in a month we went from never ending storms and flooding to cracked, scorched ground needing a good rain? That's Ohio for ya.

we are out there pounding fence posts for them thrice cursed pigs. dang things got out again and again.... and were terrorizing the goats.

the only reason i didnt shoot them in the head last nite at 10pm when we were beatin' em off the fence (which they climbed like monkeys) was because i wanted to wait until the butcher shop opened seein' as how we dont have anywhere to hang their carcasses to cool.

they have ONE more chance then its curtains for them.

aint nobody happy here today.
