i was thinking i could probably mount up my big saanan goat, Vita, and ride her to victory!
I'm guessing Vita would not be agreeable to that proposition :D

Holy Crap, Batgirl! Sheeeeoooot!

First, that was a majorly hussy phone message!!! Good thing the neighbors know you well!!! :gig

And you go, girl! I totally believe you, 100%. I thought I could never kill anything, still can't kill a chicken, but have found myself in a murderous rage on several occasions, and had I been faster, several animals would now be in the same position as your...er....coyote.

1. The Rooster Formerly Known as George, who I would've killed with my bare hands had I caught him when he went after sick baby buckling Liam, knocking him to the ground with his evil spurs.

2. Coyote eyeing my goats one rainy Sunday afternoon, while we had friends over for dinner, and dh looked out the window and said look at the deer in the woods. Coyote. I ran out, screaming like a banshee, and grabbed my post-hole digging San Angelo bar on my way by. Missed. Need javelin practice or lessons. Friends now afraid of me.

3. The racoon this spring that was heading towards my hens.....pointy hay-fork....again, need javelin lessons. Saw the first glimmer of murderous rage in dh. He is coming along nicely in his transformation from Cityboy to Farmboy.

Did you ever find your axe? Shoot, you need a new hatchet? Well, it was worth it!

Before we get into it, this is dedicated to Buster who has always been my axe wielding hero. I believe the student has now surpassed the teacher.
Yes, young padawan, the apprentice has indeed surpassed the master. The student is now the teacher.

Besides laughing all the way through it (what a wonderfully picturesque description of events), and aside from the fact that I am happily married to a wonderful wife...

And since I am ensconced all the way down here in rural Oklahoma and thus far away from biker husbands and rival neighbors, I just gotta say...

YOU ARE SO FREAKING HOT!!!

But please don't take that the wrong way. :D

What a warrior woman you are! You done me proud.

I haven't been reading any of these journal things, but think I will go back and read this one from the start. I loved your story, and thanks for dedicating it to me. You are quite the storyteller.

BOB!!! I HOPE YOU DIDNT GO TO CHURCH WITH YOUR FAMILY BECAUSE I NEED A MAN!!!

The ironic bit about it, though, is you really didn't need a man. ;)

oh golly, Buster, THANKS! i couldnt have done it with out you.
:)

yeah.. i dont have to worry about The Big Man trading me in for "two twenties" any time soon.... all that time i spent doing what Cosmo and other womens magazines said turned out to be a buncha crap. ha!

having a gal who will stand in the splash zone on butcher day, who makes food from scratch, loves the Sears tool section, AND is a axe wielding maniac kinda secures my position.
;-)

DM - thats what the neighbor husband said too!

Free - yep me and the dog found the axe. i'm thinking we should all get together with our garden tools and have target practice.

java - i dunno... Vita has a wild look everyone in a while. and what could be cooler than a "war goat"? ha!

NCL - there's just no explainin.. this to anyone who aint "farm"... sheesh!

:)

go and get a cuppa coffee.. this is kinda long.

I swear I don't make this stuff up.
Geeze, I wish that I hadn't started reading this after three cups of coffee! Somewhere around halfway through it, I've got tears rolling down my cheeks, and my wife standing next to me saying "Breathe,... remember to Breathe". I haven't laughed so hard in years.
