did i ever tell ya about the time i was comin home from Bourbon Red's place with two porkers in the back of my truck? i stopped at mcd's for a coffee and sent them all into fits!

Wow-----weeeee!!! I missed all the excitement! I was sitting on the couch with my man. Doesn't wear plaid....neither do I....but I, too, had to become a "recovering feminist" in order to have a good marriage. We still have far from a traditional marriage...dh is often fixing supper while I am in the barn...but we take the roles we want to take and don't let society dictate how much time I can spend in the kitchen, barefoot!!! Which I plan on doing all day tomorrow, and maybe Wednesday, too! Yippee!

my perfect idea of a partner: reads a lot and likes to talk books, is just as comfortable knee deep in cow sh*t as they are going to the theater with me, knows how to cook when i don't feel like it, will do the dishes (my least favorite job), will kill the spiders that get in the house, won't make fun of me when i cry about injured animals even though i killed a couple on purpose the day before, isn't ashamed to cry for a good reason but isn't prone to emotional breakdowns, doesn't get upset when i'm inadvertently bossy but isn't a pushover...

i will fully admit to being attracted to "hipster lites" but anyone who 1) takes longer than me to get ready to go out 2) is afraid of getting dirty or 3) doesn't eat cheese (i just can't trust someone who doesn't eat cheese) is out of the question. i think that means i have to go to Vermont to find a partner... TN seriously isn't doing it for me!
