If you feel brave, you could say something like, "I have no knowledge of this subject, but am here to support you and not judge you. Hugs!" Or something that just shows that not everyone in the world is against them, because that is what if feels like when you are anxious and crying over your sick animal and feel guilty because looking back, you should've done something sooner....but maybe mom was in the hospital and little Johnny was having trouble in school and time went by....then all the jerks tell you what an idiot you are.
