Girl you can weave a story. I bet you are a hoot around the campfire, telling ghost tales at midnight.

Loved the story! OFG, you can truly write a tale! And I do think they look like water dragons..especially when they hiss. We used to have scovies too....make good moms.

hee hee thanks everyone! actually we just love the ducks.

i think i told you the story about how The Big Man was taking care of the 'duck side' of the yard when Dash had all her babies? well. he TOTALLY fell in love with them and just about the time i thought i'd have a fabulous roast duckling for dinner.... he declared there was so way he could give The Axe to such cute little snugglers!

he has since been reassigned.

todays update:

Day 9 of My Winter Incarceration:

The Winter of My Discontent heaves forward like a funeral dirge.... but hey! Only 81 days to go!

flylady says I have to clean the sink - we are going to stretch out that fun all day long.

that is all.

I have had some wonderful times wrestling my ducks too! If we move we'll have 2 ponds to deal with and I can just imagine all the fun we'll have trying to train the ducks! :D

NO!! no one likes winter!! booo!!!!

LOL, I do!!! I just usually post about it in my own journal! ;)
I hate wrestling ducks too. They do seem to have minds of their own when it comes to where they want to be. Mine always move into the chicken coop in the winter. What a mess!

I gotta tell you, I was sitting here with my lukewarm coffee in my jammies knowing that it was time to let out the chickens and feed & water them. I kind dread it sometimes on mornings when I wake up in a slow-moving mood.
Anywho, I come to your journal and see the 'by popular demand' duck story, I hop up, fill up the feed & water containers, head outside (in my flannel jammies :p) say a quick hello to my grls, hustle back in to nuke that coffee and settle in to what I know will be a good story....and it was :)

Thanks for the laughs...and the morning motivation!

I read that story laughing like a wild woman......'til I realized my rabbit was trying to turn his toilet over.... He hates it when I don't give him enough attention....

Keep those tales coming....love it!

 :gig

You DO know we LOVE you don't you? :clap

I CAN kill and clean those cute little duckies and my hubby loves to eat them, but I prefer just to have them as ornaments where ever possible. They are awful to try and clean. :barnie
