We got another 9 or so inches yesterday. The kids have been to school 2x in the last 2 weeks - and we are not in a rural area! I can't imagine how bad it is a few miles out from here.
And another storm is in the forecast for Friday/Saturday! Holy Carp!
I dug paths for the chickens so they could get to the dry area under the eave of the house (is that how you spell eave? It doesn't seem right) Anyway, it's the only uncovered dirt on the property and they perked up a little. Isn't it ridiculous when you have to start digging paths for the animals?

yes it is for heavens sakes!

i just have the 'dog dozers' with me and the tromp around and make paths. my hens HATE the snow so they are inside and we are trying to find things for them to do. we gave everyone some apples and yesterday we tossed some hay in for them to goose around in.

Note that the first page is a bunch of serious gobbledeegook. I blame Boyd and WifeZ for running this right off into a ditch of silliness. Or maybe it was me and Sillystunt....

that is all.

I stayed away from that thread. Wasn't up to controversy just then.

I dun peeked. Man you all got silly!

BTW I agree with you. This "global warming due to pollution" idea is just plain dumb. I don't think we should be polluting but come on - the climate is in a constant state of change. How many recorded ice ages are there? I suppose mammoth gas caused the earth to warm up between those!

At one point in recorded history (Medieval Warm Period) it was as hot then as it is now. Greenland was actually a GREEN LAND (well green enough to raise cattle and other livestock anyway). The Vikings did a lot of floating around back then because there was less ice in the seas. There were even wine drinking Kings and vineyards in England. ;)

At other points it was even COLDER than now. (Hard to believe I know with all of this white muck about but true!) Google 1800 and froze to death. Here is an article about that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_Without_a_Summer

I believe the climate IS changing. I think all things are constantly changing.
