My cousin called me yesterday just after the tornado hit. They are east of Springfield in the foothills. She knew I would be worried. The pictures are devastating. Their Pastor interupted church service and sent everyone home. Crazy weather.

Good to hear you got some time outside this weekend.

Have a good day and stay day.

:duc storms. I only got one goat milked before it got too scary to stay outside. I got soaked just walking the 10 feet from the house to the barn. Not looking forward to going back out there.

But then, so glad my house didn't get shredded by a tornado and I'm praying for Joplin today.

yep you said it, java.

i was wow'd by the coverage from last nite (they reran it this morning) of the weather guy standing in joplin, crying and choking on emotion, as he was trying to do his report. i didnt see any of the news last nite so wow!

hopefully this stuff we have will let up and i can get poor Nibbles emptied.

in good news.. my little duck friend seems to have little peepin's under her this morning! i hoping she will keep hatching the chicken chicks - she also has some duck eggs. we'll see how her nest shapes up. i might take the chicks and put them under one of the broody hens...hum.....

and

i think i'm gonna start the incubator this morning. yikes!

Tanks - glad to hear your fam is ok. thats just amazing.

Are you putting ducks or chickens into your incubator? I'm starting some muscovy tomorrow if all goes well. I got four chicks out of 41 chicken eggs so I hope to do a little better with the ducks.

Wow, I had not watched the news yet today, more horrific storms? Scary weather year this year, that is for sure.

Stay dry! When I hear about you guys having to stop milking in the rain I am sooooooooooooooo glad my milking station is inside, it never stops raining here.

whoot! just got back from town - and had a huge frappucino!,.......

...which i'll need to strengthen me to unload the ton of gravel i got. yep. me and a shovel this afternoon. this mud is making me homicidal and i need to take action. there is gonna be a revolt soon if we dont get some pathways set up.

SD - my milking stand is inside too - but the lightening was so fierce that there was no way i was gonna be in a metal pole barn when/if it got struck. so i had to run inside for safety. plus the rain on the roof is amplified which freaks out the goaties - it sounds like the whole thing is gonna come down. yikes!

but now its sunny. muddy but sunny which is PERFECT for gravel hauling...grumble grumble grumble....

and i need to go and check on my little duck friend. she is currently hatching chicken's eggs - which i'm also putting in the incubator. we havent had a ton of luck but here is to hoping. the guy that i gave a bucket of eggs to hatched 35 out of 42 chicken eggs....so hopefully i can have those same good results.

:)

FF - wow! i'd be screamin' for Jesus too.. i just cant imagine.

Scary weather! Well of course now that I'm ready to have duck eggs in the incubator my silly duck is feeling broody. She is gonna have to lay her own eggs, these ones are MINE. Maybe she and I will have a race. I'll be happy to give these to her all hatched.

Yea, I only got 4 outta 41 chicken eggs. :hide and not ONE was an EE. sigh.

I'm just guessing here... but I bet we get one heckuva tornado season when ours starts in a few more weeks. Any guesses, Auntie?? Another Windsor tornado, several times?
