Heh, I love your blog entry about the soap! I tried to make a comment but my computer won't let me create a google account, it is too old to update and so I couldn't do that. Now when I need to give someone that recipe I know where to send them! Pictures and jokes and all.

But I was going to add that you certainly can use that detergent for HE washers. It is fully discussed over at BYC how many people besides myself thought it HELPED their HE washer. They like low suds. And sure enough, my washer actually works better with the new stuff. Someone at BYC said it cleared out buildup in the pipes.

And your comment about being allergic to the fragrances reminded me that Hubby used to suffer terribly from skin rashes before we switched. I thought it had to do with the laundry detergent but he never let me buy the more expensive unscented kind as he wasn't convinced it was the laundry soap doing it. I was pretty sure because if we used Tide he was okay, other brands he broke out. But now his skin rash is pretty much better. Personally I find strong perfumes nauseating although they don't make me itch. I just want my clothes to smell clean, not like anything else.

I'll have to try your anti- stink stuff, I've occasionally had to wash twice but I have always done that for years because of the fostering (washing twice) so the fact that I do it so seldom now is significant.

I have goat envy, I wish I had another goat in milk already. I would love to have the 2 girls in milk now so I had lots of extra milk to play with. What is the smallest full sized goat? Think I could sneak one in with my nigis?

My mini nubian does each give me a half gallon a day. I think that is pretty good because they are not too big. That is almost a nigy Lori.

wow what a beautiful day! its amazing - the sun is shining and the humidity is LOW!

i spent all day yesterday outside. the dogs and i planted a ton of beans, did some tilling, and enjoyed every second of it.

however, the pup doesnt think that planting is fun AT ALL. the big dogs like to lay in the shade and just watch but Kai has the wiggles too bad. so she got a time out and it was the saddest thing ever.

thats the word here. i'm about to go on down to the corner in town and see if the amish lady is there with cinnamon rolls. we'll (hopefully) be on a fencing jihad today. the pigs are getting big and we need to move them somewhere else.
