OFG - this morning both of my goats put out half of what they usually do. I think the sudden heat affected them

yep. too hot or too cold will make them produce less. hopefully those slackers will get used to the heat b/c i think we'll have it all summer! zoikes!

Tanks - i was up and out there early now i've got the AC and a fan coolin' me down.

Lori - could be. we noticed a direct ratio for water to milk. maybe our goats are just too tired and hot!

Abi and WZilla - we just passed 94*.. yikes. and my radishes just bolted too!

and now.. i think i need some ice cream

Oooo, gotta make ice cream tomorrow! Great idea! I have just enough mint extract left from last year for a batch, too.

My break is just about over, back out into the heat to plant and water. My does are all hiding in the barn, panting. Usually they are out eating most of the morning. Even Plum, the preggers chowhound, is moping around in the barn.

Yep, and there went my broccoli that was almost ready to form. Every frapping year! Will I never learn? I need to wait and try in the fall.
At least with all the sun, heat, and now wind is drying out the ground. We can almost walk on the area that got flooded without sinking.

I made goats milk icecream (of sorts) for the first time yesterday, the crew loved it. I dont have an ice cream maker, so I froze the milkin ice cube trays, then put them in my blendtech, added maple syrup and vanilla and whizzed it up. It was delish!!!!!!!

Well, that is like an open invitation to filk that song, but I'm NOT the person you were talking to because I have no idea what you mean by that. My sons and HUSBAND are obscessed with zombie movies. I really don't "get" it....
