Just do what my hubby does - lots of target practice while yelling loudly: "Hope I can remember to shoot over they're heads when they come back to steal from me again". To which I reply: "Over their heads, he** - shoot off their kneecaps!"

We think our neighbors are either stealing from us, or are alerting the ones who are when we're gone.

We now have everything triple locked and lights that come on at all hours of the night as well as motion lights.

We've been so lucky - never having to lock anything and not hubby is so angry and discouraged. Not me - I'm plotting revenge!

I hate thievery with a passion. It totally sucks, when you have to turn your place into Fort Knox to protect your vegies and animals!!!

Around here someone got their 7 goats stolen about a month ago!!!
How bad is that?!!

I am never disappointed when I check in on your journal....I can't believe that old man is mowing your hay again....next time just send all the big dogs over there to him and scare the crap outta him or fish that crazy cat outta the basement and send it over there. Can you put up a No Trespassing sign?
Lori, that basement kitteh is was crazy mutha-you-know-what, for sure. and yeah that old man is afraid of the dogs. we just need to do more fencing.

kc - aint that right! isnt it ridiculous - live way out here and have to lock up like you're in the city? for heavens sakes. the best thing we did was spend the money to get the gate.

FD - i was thinking about running the hot wire along the property line - not just around our critters. its a crazy world - and i know exactly how much that fence hurts!

and....

THEY ARE MOVED!!! THE PIGZ ARE MOVED!!!

i sustained a small flesh wound, TBM was on the ground again wrestling one of them pigs, and the neighbor kid when home covered in pig mud from head to toe - including smudges on his face!!!

it was a wild rodeo for sure - but the pigz are moved to their new spot. not dead. and i think they love it. they laid there in a heap for a while but then started thinking... 'hey this is pretty good... why didnt you tell us this was where we were going??"

because the kids were helping the dogs were in the house. so when we finally got the bacon tucked in, i went and got the dogs. i told them "where are the pigs?" and all three made a bee line directly to the new pig area - not the old one! even Kai!

kai ran at them hackles and mane up - she's pretty 'hell yeah'... i just love her. and the big dogs went and peed all over everything to mark the new territory.

and

we got a ton of stuff done today - started more seed trays to replace the ones the stupid birds got - and planted up a bunch of stuff. we may have escaped the weather so i'm going to go and get some mowing done while the gettin's good.

and

i'm totally making that mayo cake again!!! whooot! but i just ate about a pound of ice cream so i may be good for snacks for today. golly.

happy monday!!!!

its our anniversary!!!

i think you guys know the story but i posted it on the blog here:
http://adventuresinthegoodland.blogspot.com/2011/06/how-i-got-big-man.html

for the life of me i cant remember how long its been "official" - 3 or 4 years???..... but we've loved each other since we were 15-ish and i guess thats what really counts.

so on this big day he's getting a bucket of milk, a pile of eggs.....and of COURSE i made that choco mayo cake again! (yes i'm having it for breakfast)

and our big 'date' is gonna be........ weedwhacking down some more of the bramble and we might just have an epic burn pile. thats romance, friends.

thats the word here. we finally got warm and dry weather so we are working like mad to finish up the last couple planting projects. i'm also trying to get some weeding done - the wet weather sent weeds up all over - and they are sky high.

so nothing but work work work here.

:)

its like "nerd romance" - our idea of the perfect romance/date nite movie has to involve running gun fights, aliens, and a car chase. whoooot!
