wow the more i read the worse it was....

you know i've written to the mods over there several times about the mean attitude and how i dont recommend folks to that site b/c of the meanies... and i dont know how many times i've PM'd the newbies and apologies for getting pounced on by some of the folks over there.

its confusing enough without having someone tell you how stupid you are. wow.

onward and upward

well global warming continues its assault on our fair end of the state. it rained on top of the snow and ice...and we've had a lot of fog..which is kinda frozen so its all a big mess.

and then yesterday while i was in the iced over, then rained on, and then covered in poop soup otherwise known as the hen yard...... i fell in a heap (hard) into the swill. i was completely and totally slimed. it. was. so. gross.

luckily The Big Man and the big dog came over and got me up. the best part of having an extra big dog is that they can stand there on the ice with their big claws for traction and i can crawl up on him. i almost rode him out of the ice field....

so i was poop covered. ugh.

today will be better i just know it. especially since we are going to town today! yay!

and we are keeping a careful watch on Debbie the goat. things seem to be shifting around. her udder isnt completely full yet...but she has been laying around more than before. could be goat babies soon!

happy tuesday everyone!

Good morning OFG. Hope your Tuesday is better than your Monday. :hugs Be careful and don't fall in town. I just love it when I make a big splatt right in front of a bunch of people! Animals could care less, but other people just love it!:gig

Mornin' Girly.

Headed to town huh? Gonna go get your self hopped up on some lattes and then shatter innocent folks fantasies of where their food comes from in iHop?

I can sense a story brewing :gig

I will be sitting home nursing a sick kid and my own highly unstable tummy. :sick

Not a great day at my house....I have about a 50% chance of puke showers...and a 100% chance of NOT slipping in ice and lounging in chicken poo :bun

This is my fear every time I go out to the chicken yard. It is so slippery. And if you get into it, the muck pulls you in like quicksand. DH is going to lay a pallet down so we can get to into the coop. We have large stepping stones laid out, but they are buried. Ick, yuck, I hate spring thaw.
Be careful out there. It should dry out in a month or so :fl

I hate it when you walk across the yard and your boots make that sucking sound every time you lift up your feet.....ewwwww.

We are elbow deep in mud here too....I have had to lock up the ducks in their pen cause they are just tearing up the yard everywhere....dang ducks!

A couple of years ago my D1 was home alone tending her animals when she fell on the ice in the pasture. Try as she might she could NOT get to her feet. Stranded alone in the middle of a pasture in freezing weather without even a phone to call for help. It could have been a very dangerous situation but for a big "dog". Her POA pony Cayenne, saw the problem and came over to my D1 allowed her to climb up her legs to stand and then she and the other pony, which came along side, walked her across the ice and to the backyard fence. She came in and called me after it was over. Thank goodness for true love and big "dogs". ;) :D

FF thats hilarious! and what a good um... dog (pony)!

the big dog has come and rescued me several times. last summer i had to feed those stupid pigs and Ti came with me (of course), and i totally slipped in the mud... i fell right beside him but got an arm over his back and he just stood there holding me up. love it!

those hens are a buncha mockers. soon they will be 'muckers' when we finally get the thaw going. luckily we did a lot of gravel last year so it wont be too bad. i hope i hope i hope.....until then its not 'muck muck muck' its still slippy-slidey.

hey D! - oh like i'm gonna gross people out at lunch... hee hee hee ok maybe i need to lower my voice. sunday we had lunch and i may have scared a couple people out of their burritos. oh well.... somebody's gotta do it. what out for those passing puke showers. at least no one has barfed on me. so far.

but

one of the hens laid an egg ON me. more on that later... there's always something.
