Daisy the Comm Officer: Sir! we have the satellite feed from the Duck Team Six operation
OFG, spins in her big chair to the central monitor: on screen!

* the monitor springs to life, fuzzy at first then clearly showing the scene up on the battlefield. a huge black cage is being pulled by the younger ganders into position....*

OD the gander, a patch over one eye mercilessly whips the younger ganders: put your backs into it maggots!

at last the great cage comes to a full stop. with great effort and the sound of iron on iron, the door grinds loudly open. the door keepers panic and run for their lives as the runner ducks well... run... i mean... (dang what is IN these mint juleps??)..... burst out of the cage like crazed berserkers each a shrieking, screaming, whirling demon. and the peeping! the horrible unholy peeping! the enemy, momentarily transfixed, seems to take a step backward in sheer terror....

initially the dozen demon ducks scatter in all directions then suddenly come together to form a battle phlanx rushing toward the enemy, then gradually picking up speed and morphing into a giant wedge heading directly into the fray. just as they were about to smash thru the faintly failing enemy lines..... a contingent of potato bugs from the nearby bed appeared. the potato bugs boil down the hillside, surround..... and overwhelmed Duck Team Six.

*OFG leaps from her command chair, aghast*

A red shirted ensign next to Daisy: Sir. They've been destroyed!
OFG: insect b*astards. you've killed my ducks.

*OFG slumps back into her chair*

just then, Col Ti bursts into the room: Sir the battle is turned, we will be taken!
OFG: so much death. what can farmers do against such reckless hate?
Ti: ride out with me, Sir.
OFG: for death and glory?
Ti: for the farm, for Lucky!
OFG, gathering strength: yes....yes....bring my mount, fetch my sword! Fell deeds awake - now for wrath... now for ruin.... and the red dawn!

in one smooth motion OFG leaps on the back of her trusty mount - TurkZilla - with a mighty gobble they thunder out of the bunker, Col Ti at her side and a mighty company of hens following, drawing swords and fighting for all their worth.....

* the red shirted ensign is immediately slain*

the battle rages.

All's quiet this fine Sunday morning. Wonder if OFG and TBM will be late for church this morning. Do you even go to church after fighting in such a gory battle?

KC sneaks to the doorway to peek outside - what kind of death and destruction would she find? Da Dum Da Dum Da Dum Da Dum Her heart pound in her ears as she cautiously reaches for the door knob.

Before she looks outside she glances around the kitchen....Mint Juleps? Pie? Remnants of an "after-battle" celebration litter the table and counter tops. OFG is slumped over in the corner snoring loudly. Lucky is laying in the place of honor - the kitchen rug, while his companions lay on either side with chew bones and other treats scattered all around.

KC quietly opens the door to see TBM standing out in the yard with his arms across his chest, slowly moving his head from side to side. He's muttering under his breath and she creeps closer to hear. "I can't leave that woman alone for 2 minutes without all h*ll breaking loose, he says." A smile slowly spreads across his face. "She's a keeper, I guess", he sighs. "Better start cleaning up this mess."
