hee hee...

I ended up with several piercings and a tattoo.........

When I was 16 I had my ears stretched, and I wore orange sparkly 6 gauge plastic earrings, they were so awesome and I still have them but my ears aren't stretched anymore. I also had a vertical labret lip piercing for a few years, my eyebrow pierced (my labrador retriever ripped that out when I was 18 though lol I have a nasty scar there now, but it makes me look way cooler hahahaha). I also had my nose pierced briefly, but took it out though I might get it done again cause it looked super adorable.

My vertical labret killed when I had it done, but I looked darn cool.

and I have the outline of a heart tattooed on my left wrist. I'm getting hoofprints on my right arm next year :) for my horsies.

It is the geeks who are able to express their "individuality" if you ask me! We geeks don't care if we look like everyone else, or any particular group.

We ss-er geeks are double-individual. We don't care, and we wear whatever has enough threads left to actually stay on our bodies.

:D

yikes!! ** passes out **

yep Free, thats how i roll....
;-)

one of the funny things about working for a 'smart guy company' is eating in the cafeteria. its geeks as far as the eye can see and wow the tables are turned on the flashy sales guys. i'm telling you, get a bunch of geeks who suffered wedgies and swirlies all thru highschool together and give them a bunch of money and all the power in a company.... oh man... vengeance comes in the form of a slide rule
;-)

the biggest insult wasnt 'hey four-eyes!' it was "you aren't smart enough to work here".... i loved it.

Ha-ha, OFG, revenge is sweet, huh?

Some years ago I found myself in a position quite a bit higher on the food chain than the main source of my torment in high school. He had to work FOR me for several days doing nasty stuff....I was managing a high-end private show and breeding stable, which made me the MOST important employee to my boss, in many ways. I was the one entrusted with his children, his house, his prized six-figure horses.

Then what's-his-name shows up, new employee, assigned for the week to make repairs around the barn and CLEAN UNDER THE STALL MATS. :gig :weee

A thing of beauty.

Excuse me for my brief break from Christian behavior.... :p

hee hee hee yep i've had a few good moments...and living well is the best revenge, especially when you can rub it in
;-)

but the ones that give me the biggest smiles are the folks who make you feel bad (i got a lot of 'you'll never be able to do this, that or the other thing)...and then you look back and say: "huh. well i guess i did it" (thinking: SO THERE YOU _______!!)

oh well. (hee hee hee)

so the good news is that we survived the latest round of the snow....but yikes! we think our goatie is getting closer. the neighbor and i are thinking that with sunday being the full moon... looks like we'll have goat babies this weekend.

yikes!

I'm sure your goatie will do fine. :D :thumbsup

But, if it'll make you feel any better, I'll pm you my phone # and you can call my house and leave 5 panic stricken messages on my machine.

so kidding - you are not a bad friend, and that gal was probably upset about a lot of things, and not you.

the neighbor is really great - she said i could hide in the house while she did the birthing thing. i told her i'm 'all butcher and no birthin'

I wasn't ignoring her! I wasn't home! I kid you not, I was just listening to her last, tear-filled message on my machine when the phone rings - and it was HER calling again! :gig

there's a history here, because her emergencies are usually not emergencies...

example: the first week we were in the online program with the kiddos, our computer had the phone line tied up A LOT while we were learning the ropes and getting a routine down.

For two days she tried to call me during school hours. On the 3rd day she finally gets me and yells, "Finally! I've been calling you for two days! You're never offline!" I replied that I was homeschooling the kids and she said, "Well, I don't think I like that because I have an emergency here, and I couldn't reach you!"

Her emergency? Her 19 year old step daughter had just had a baby - and she was freaked out about it because she's not "old enough to be a grandma".

I was a bit peeved, because that didn't rate as an emergency to me, and I felt like she was putting my families priorities second to hers.

I've learned that this is just how she is, tho, and I take it all in stride - or try to. ;)

eta: it's all good, tho, because her little emergencies end up being big laughs later!

gotta go! survivors on!
