Good morning OFG. Instead of hanging around birthin' your goat, put on your best (unstinkiest) work boots and come on down to my neck of the woods. There's a "Baconfest" going on down here in Knoxville this weekend. It's a "semi-competitive bacon off" according to our local paper. Bring your favorite bacon dish and drink (hmmm bacon martinis?).
There will be prizes for such categories as: best use of bacon grease, most pork/bacon used in a dish, etc. If you don't want to compete, you can just come and gorge on pork. Oh, and live music from the "Bacon Bits".

What's that? Is it the sound of OFG and The Big Man packing?

now THATS my kinda good time!! wow!! oh bacon.. so many ways to love you.....

we had a mini bacon fest yesterday... bacon and egg sandwiches in the morning, then i used the fat in the pan to caramelize onions...and mushrooms and that was on the pizza last nite. whoot!

and seriously - im' trying to figure out if there is a reasonable way of having a breakfast pizza. with bacon and eggs on top. hum....... it cant be THAT weird, can it?

oh thats right, i was gonna post the bacon and pumpkin pasta recipe that we had the other nite....

i'm telling you, its all pork all the time around here!

no goat babies yet. more snow. oh look another weather advisory. sheesh.... might as well drag another pack of bacon out of the freezer and get busy. my love of bacon keeps me warm on these cold days....

Feeling good, and the little princess is going back to school today
Back into the pool for me, in the cold...we are expecting thunder storms (shaking in my boots) not sure when, I have had the news on but not completely paying attention....should have a down pour tomorrow I think.

Not much else going on here. Boring group at my house. :/

one of the funny things about working for a 'smart guy company' is eating in the cafeteria. its geeks as far as the eye can see and wow the tables are turned on the flashy sales guys. i'm telling you, get a bunch of geeks who suffered wedgies and swirlies all thru highschool together and give them a bunch of money and all the power in a company.... oh man... vengeance comes in the form of a slide rule

the biggest insult wasnt 'hey four-eyes!' it was "you aren't smart enough to work here".... i loved it.
