:pop I'm ready to hear about Nicholas....

You guys just made me realize my little baby Emilee is in heat. I didn't know why they are acting nuts. She had a little discharge so I was wondering if she could be in heat, but she is only xis months old! But they have all been head-butting like mad. I thought the heat was making them argumentative. Age six months sounds so early for a first heat.

yesterday was another hard day for Nicholas:

http://adventuresinthegoodland.blogspot.com/2011/08/he-still-cant-stand-heat.html

he's hoping that today will be better. of course, it make it all the worse that he had to listen to Nibbles and Dahlia scream all day. altho with the AC on and windows closed i cant hear a thing. keep workin on those weeds out there ladies - you got a half an acre to take down the hard way... one leaf at a time.

We have made a cheap but effective fly spray for the horses for years. Get a sprayer and fill it about 1/3 full of ACV, give it a good squirt of citrus dish soap (the soap helps it stick to the hair) and fill the rest of the way with water. ;)

Works well against flys, but WARNING the ACV will bleach the hair of a dark animal slightly (so don't spray show animals) and after a while of daily use your goat may foam up in a hard rain!

Gosh. How do you know that? LOL!!

Poor Nicholas!!! Amira is still protesting the locked screen door to the patio. Since she was letting herself in and out, I've been locking it. She can go out when I'm awake and at home. So now she yowls at me that she wants to go out, so I should be awake now.

 you better get your goats in if you took the advice to spray them with dish soap - there a nasty storm firing up now.

Nicholas is beautiful. What is it about cats and counter tops anyway? I know it probably feels cool, but that was soooo not dignified.
