The simplest way to do serving size is by the handful. A handful of meat is more or less a serving size lol. Not a tight gripped, pack it in, just a loose comfortable handful. Ditto veggies.

Not perfectly accurate ;) But it's a simple guideline, especially as you start learning to do portion control.

Ok, so I'm doing better with my eating - at least today LOL

Breakfast was pretty much just coffee - i know bad bad!

Lunch was another bunless hamburg. Delicious! Just wrapped in huge leaves of lettuce, tomato, cheese, and meat.

I had a snack of 1 apple and a handful of nuts.

Dinner was pork chops, collard greens, and carrots.

Wow. That sounds sparse. I drowned everything in lots of butter and pork fat so I wouldn't feel sorry for myself.

But I'm definitely not feeling hungry!

I ALMOST drank orange juice out of DS's cup 3 times today. :drool But I restrained myself telling myself that my sugar was the lactose in milk.

I just took my measurements a week or 2 ago for making a skirt. I wonder if they've changed. The scale says I lost 6.6 lb. Of course, the scale might decide I've gained 9 lb overnight. My scale can be like that sometimes. :barnie

That is why, in my weight management classes, I suggest that the scale go to GoodWill....or the dump! The scale is deceptive. It is how your clothes fit, your overall health, and how pleased you ultimately become with yourself that is always the REAL motivating force.

6.6 lbs is significant for a woman. Yeah!!

We just woke up, and I ate a handful of baby carrots and am now munching on some peanuts to break my fast. We just got our first cups of coffee, and after I'm done drinking my first cup, we're making bacon and eggs for our full breakfast.

I even got my kids to eat some carrots first thing this morning!

My scale did teach me that on "fat days" I don't actually weigh more - just stuck in my head.

I need constant feedback to stay motivated - especially at first! I've come to expect that the numbers can go up sometimes, but overall I'm still losing. I used to keep a graph so I could check when I got disappointed.

I weigh myself at the same time every day also. My weight is the least in the morning, so that is when I weigh myself. :)

:idunno works for me.

QA - bacon and eggs for breakfast here too. :)

When did we start this whole thing??? I guess I should measure again. I don't have a working scale. I wonder if anything has changed?

Not so weird really, is it?
Nope, it wasn't weird, it was good actually. And I don't feel like I'm starving.

gina - I'm not weighing myself. I haven't measured my waist or anything, either, I figured once my pants that I currently wear seem loose, then I'll measure.
