Ok, I said on the impromptu Roger's meet up thread that I would have to tell how my 'day' went! Well, here goes!
It started off last weekend...the 8th. It was my 12 yo birthday and we were taking the kids out to the lake to swim, meet up with grandparents for cake and a chicken bucket (at the lake), and then go to the drive in. DH stopped at a different ATM than we usually go to because of time constraints and it would have cost us more money in gas than the fee to run all the way into town to our bank. Well...he left his debit card IN the machine and pulled away...so it SUCKED it back in! The bank was still open...yep! They had his debit card but because it was for a different bank they could not give it back to him. My debit??? EXPIRED!! I got the new one in the mail but we LOST it!! I am thinking one of the kids must have thrown it away! After all we did find the NEW medical cards in the garbage that I had left on the table! So when I went to the Dentist this week I pull and remembered that we got new insurance! Thankfully we are really good friends with our dentist so they said I could just call with the new billing address.
I tripped on my mom's deck Sunday night and I thought I had sprained my ankle and I had not been able to walk on it Mon-Thurs. So I had not slept well all week. But I was not sure if it was a sprain or this weird freezing muscling thing I have been battle. But when I woke up Friday and the pain was gone I decided it must have been the weird freezing muscle thing going on.
Ok...so neither DH nor I now have a working debit card!!
I am ready to go to Roger's....it is 1:45 and I need to be at Walmart to meet up with 2 people at 3:10. I check my wallet for my license and NO LICENSE!!! I HAVE NO MONEY!! I NEED my license to get go to the bank and get money!! I also need my license to get my buyers number at Roger's. After looking for AN HOUR....still NO LICENSE! I said fine! Where is our 'emergency money?? I will just take some of it and then replace it and my mom will have to get a buyers number and I will use her's. CAN'T FIND OUR SMALL STASH OF EMERGENCY MONEY! In reality the emergency money is not that much and really not that big of a deal BUT we put my dad's WEDDING RING is in that box!! (My dad passed away last November.) It took us over 10 minutes to find the box! I would say it was hidden good! LOL! So by now the house is TORE APART!! I am talking my bathroom...twice! The living room, my bedroom, the kitchen and everything that was on the dining room table! Oh yeah, and the van and the car!! Still no license! So I take some of the emergency money and leave.
DH calls me 5 minutes after I left HE FOUND MY LICENSE! I mean seriously!! After searching for an hour he finds them 5 minutes after I left!! So he calls me and tells me to wait at my mom's and he will bring it to me. I had to go to my mom's to load up her chickens for the sale. My brother WAS supposed to get to but he said he woke up late for work and did not have time to do it. And he kept calling me and calling me asking me if I had made it to mom's yet to get the chickens while I was looking for my license! I finally told him "I am NOT in a good mood and I will call you later!"
So I get to my mom's and lo' and behold my brother DID have the chickens loaded up! I seriously almost started crying! I was that frustrated and between DH calling to say he had my license and then finding the chickens already loaded up and that my brother had just been messing with me.
So I finally meet my mom and friend a half an hour late at Walmart! Then we went zooming off to Roger's! On the way we had been pacing this CAT van...well my mom know's two CAT drivers so she wanted me to pass the guy up and see if it was one of them....nope it wasn't! So, I started pacing the car in front of the CAT van. Finally I was like Let's just pass him! "HOLY CRAP! IT'S A COP!!" and "HOLY CRAP IT'S ANOTHER COP!" This cop was in the center lane standing outside his car with the radar gun pointed at us! It wasn't two seconds after we realized the jeep was a cop that we saw the cop in the center! Thankfully we did not get stopped!
Ok...got to Roger's! FINALLY found the SS gals and met up with them. That was fun!
Oh the best part.....
I have been battling and stomach thing for the several days...I think it was from taking the pain meds from my foot hurting. So I had to go to the bathroom several times while at Roger's. WELL! One time I stood up and turned around and guess what I saw DOWN in the port-a-pot???????
Yes, that is right!! MY LICENSE!!! I had stuck it in my back pocket to sign in so I did not have to carry around my wallet and it fell out and FELL IN!!!! I kid you not!!
I did get my rabbits that I wanted but I think I got the MOST expensive rabbits at the auction!
