I think I am spending at least 12 hours a day on the couch except the days I go out to the OB's but it is keeping down my blood pressure so I can carry longer so I think it is totally worth it! But, it will be double duty on projects after I have the baby!
I bought all of the material for the diaper bag but, my mom is going to make it for me. I have a MILLION other projects I want to sew up for the baby....pacifier ribbon clip, boutique burp clothes, boutque outfits, new boutique carseat cover, monogrammed sippy cup liner, boutique wipe case, hand sewn cloth diapers, more homemade wipes, ribboned socks to match the outfits, taggy blanket, taggy ball that I am going to put a ribbon clip on so I can attatch it to the carseat handle, a carseat blanket cover, a baby quilt for the crib...oh just a million things!!
Is your niece having a boy or girl?
If you would like links to things off of Etsy that I would like to copy I would be glad to look them up and post them. Appliquing on a bib and onsie with a matching burp cloth would be super easy to make! Taggy blankets are super easy too! They are only like 12"x12" or 16"x 16". And fabric choices for a boy or a girl are so adorable now!!

PP, belated anniversary congratulations! Hope you had a terrific day.

Sorry to hear about the quail eggs.... but it sounds like your JBGs have come to your rescue! ;)

Great to hear that things with your BP are going well. Can you sew while on the couch?

I pretty much have to be sitting at the table to my sewing machine or standing cutting out material in order to get my sewing done.

:celebrate A kind lady off BYC just offered to send me some quail eggs since the others did not hatch!!!:celebrate I think my mom is just as excited as I am! I am going to put them in with my BJG's so if they are here like Thursday or Friday they should hatch around the same time as my BJGs!!! I am going to have FULL 'bator by the end of next week!! Let the hatching addiction begin!!! So, much for waiting until after the baby is born!!! LOL!!

You are too much! All these eggs everywhere...what are you going to do with yourself when this baby is born? Babies, babies, babies! You are addicted for sure!

I made tons of taggy blankets for my kids and they never played with them. Made me so ill. It's okay though cause I gave some of them away as gifts and my daughter uses some of them for blankets for her baby dolls...too cute!

I can't wait to get a new sewing machine so I can start quilting again...I miss it so much.

I may have missed this, but do you know if you're having a girl or boy? My niece doesn't know yet. I never wanted to know. I didn't want to know for either of my grandsons, but I had an idea they were both boys.

I made the cutest burp cloths from flannel. They were so soft and absorbant.

Yes, the fabric choices are endless. The large selection of baby fabrics makes it difficult to choose. I'm thinking of making a quilt for my nieces baby. Not sure yet. I do know I'll be making other things as well, she's our God daughter.

Thanks for the offer of ideas. I'll let you know. I can't get into that now as I have other projects to finish. My big one now is a flannel quilt for our bed. Each night as we get into a cold (freezing) bed, I wish it were done.

I had another OB appointment today. It was the NST. The baby was so active that it took a while to finally get a good read. But, once I got her on the monitor it went good. Her heart rate sounded great!!

Then I went to Goodwill....kicking myself because I was to tired to stop in the other day when I saw white tags on sale for $1 because half of the things I got today had a white tag on them!! :he Anyways, I found a solid yellow flannel sheet that I am going to make into more TP wipes....for $2.99. A pink plaid flannel sheet that I am going to turn into more wipes for the baby or as inside lining for sanitary napkins...for $4.99. A gold and burgandy flannel sheet set that has to be either a king or a queen because they are HUGE that I want to turn into napkins...for $5.98. A matress pad that I want to try and use as liners for sanitary napkins...for $1.99. And one super cute pink receiving blanket that I am not going to cut up so I can use it for the baby...for .99. I spent like $17.95 all together. But, I should have enough gold/ burgandy sheeting to make over 50 table napkins or more! I should be totally set for napkins after I get them done! When I was given the serger machine it came with 4 spools of gold thread that will work perfectly to serge around the napkins with...which means I am using free thread that I was not going to use on anything else because the color did not go with other stuff!!
It is all in the washing machine now!

:celebrate My PUL fabric for my cloth diapers came today!!:celebrate

The cut pieces that I was missing that went with the made diaper and diaper pattern that I got last week arrived today too!!:celebrate I am so glad I ordered the bigger package because I would not have done them right on my own because I was thinking that it was just one layer of flanneling on the inside and one strip down the middle for extra absorbancy....but, it is actually 3 layers of flannel and a strip that is folded over three times and put in the middle for the extra absorbancy!! No wonder it takes so much fabric according to the directions!
I am excited to get started on them. Hopefully Betty can come over this Tuesday to help me get started on them! Betty is a lady from my church that has been teaching me how to sew.

Bummer!! DH was not able to rethread the serger machine before he left to take the boys to Tae Kwon Do so I am not able to get any of the napkins sewn this evening!
It is way to frustrating for me to rethread...don't want to get my blood pressure up ya know!

Sounds like you are going to be very busy sewing! Will you be basting before sewing? At least basting can be done while you are sitting down! :D
