My earliest was 36 weeks. My latest was 38 weeks. I have always been induced. Just once I would like to go into labor on my own!! That is a dream of mine! My goal this time is to get my labor time down under 16 hours! My longest labor was 30 hours!!
I have been able to keep my bp down by staying away from high sodium foods my whole pregnancy and I have been taking it easy for a while. I completely cleared my schedule before Christmas for the month of January while everything was on Christmas break. That was 5 activities a week plus 3 church activities a week. We did keep 2 of the 5 activities and 2 of the church things only because they are in the evening and DH is able to take the kiddos instead of me...and I get quiet time during those times!! Which I have not had in years!!!

Here is a blog worth reading from the begining:
http://jordansfarm.wordpress.com/

She has advice on freezing eggs, canning and freezing milk, canning potatoes and lots of other good stuff! A lot of the more recent posts are about her DH, Tommy, who is sick but, some of the later posts are about how they make it on less than $1000 a month....so I find this blog worth reading from the begining to the most recent rather than the most recent to the begining.

ha ha maybe if you keep going you will one day get to go into labor on your own!! :weee :weee :weee :weee :weee

wow 30! Good Lord! My longest labor was with the twins and that was b/c they were trying to stop it with mag. That one was 17 hours. I was in labor for 9 hrs with my first, and 4 hours with my daughter. I don't know how this one is going to go. I'd really rather not do another c-section, but I don't know if they will do a v-bac here...and I don't know how I feel about a vbac for me.

Wow you were a busy girl!! Glad you are able to get some quiet time. :thumbsup

Hey darlin...glad to hear you are feeling better! I was worried about you throwin up and all.

I can't imagine being in labor for 30 hours. With Tyler I had a slow leak starting at 8:30 am and I had one contraction at 12:30 and my water broke (ka poosh!) at 1:30pm. That's when my contractions really started. Then I went to the hospital and they gave me an epidural at about 4 pm and I had him at 9:30pm. Quick for a first labor.

Then with Maddie, I had gotten up at around 2 am to pee and just felt funky. No contractions just funky. When Chad got up at 4:30 I told him to call in cause I didn't feel "right". All day goes by and nothin. At about 3 or 4 pm I started walking up and down my road cause I was determined not to waste my husband's day. I started having sporadic contractions then and went to my BF's house for dinner at 6. She started timing me and I was having contractions about every 45 minutes. We left at about 9:30 and she begged us to just leave Tyler there with her and I said, no I'm fine. Got home, got Ty to bed, Chad goes to sleep and I'm watching tv in the living room and at about 10:55 I have a really good contraction. At 11 I hear this loud crack...literally sounded like someone stepping on a tree limb to get it to break. Then immediately I have a hard contraction. I go to get up off the couch to move around a bit and splash! Now I know what the cracking noise was...duh. Had to go back to BF's with Tyler and got to the hospital at about midnight. Didn't get an epidural until 2:20am and had Maddie at 2:30am. 3 or 4 good pushes and it was done.

Told my ob that if we ever had another one we'd skip the labor alltogether and the baby would just come out on a little surfboard when my water broke!

More power to you honey...I'm glad God blessed me with quick labors!!!
