I went for my 6 week post partum appointment today and my bp was 120/80!! :celebrate Now I am officially off of my bp meds!! I say officially because I have sort of already weaned myself off of it over the last week and a half. So, it was 120/80 without the meds!!

Hey pam, those dressed are so cute. You know I think I may ask my MIL to save FIL shirts for me next time she cleans out his closet. I am sure they would be great fabrics to work with. You know I opened an account at Etsy to sell. I jsut have not built up enough inventory yet. I have 3 aprons done and I am going to work on some embroidry items. I just have had zero time to sew the past couple weeks.

Thanks again. gina

That is awesome that you opened up an Etsy shop!! I have one...I just have not been motivated to sell anything!
ETA: Don't forget to post a link for all of us to see your awesome stuff!

:barnie I am creating my own inner monster!! 13 yo is going through his closet and pulling out stuff that does not fit him so he can give them to 11 yo and I am looking at the shirts and saying to myself "that will make a nice dress for DD!" DD has a TON of cloths and I have a TON of fabric to make her boutique outfits. 11 yo NEEDS the cloths!!!

Do not cut up the boys cloths...do not cut up the boys cloths....wait for a $1 a bag rummage sale and load up on mens shirts....you can wait Pam!!

I am still trying to "use it up". I have made a promise to myself that if I make anything for my girls it will be from fabric I already had. I was tortured today because I saw some really cute floral sheets on clearance today. I wanted to make curtains and new pillow cases for DD. Her room has never really been decorated just kind of undecorated from baby stuff. If that makes any sense. I figured shes almost 4 I should get moving. But I resisted and walked away.

I did however buy all the ingredients to make my own laundry soap. I found Zote at walmart. Along with the borax and Arm & Hammer Baking soda laundry kind. I did not see washing soda but from what I have read it should be ok. You make your own soap don't you??

Oh how life is changing..... :)

oh, yeah. I am not making bar soap. I actually bought that. I am doing the borax/soda/ bar soap mix. I copied Farmer Chicks recipe as well as the one someone posted from the Duggar's web site. I figure it's worth a try. :D

Pam, that is wonderful news about your bp! Way to go girl! :celebrate

How are the JBG chicklettes that just hatched doing?

I just made a new batch of laundry soap yesterday. It is still cooling, so I haven't put it into containers yet. The last batch I made was during the first week of July 2008, so it definitely saves money!
