I love homemade icecream! :love

I really, really need to get into the habit of goodwills and garage/yard sales. I just don't know what to look for or how to find the good stuff. Usually the stuff I find, is the crappy stuff, not the decent, or good or great condition stuff. Maybe I'm going on the wrong days, or to the wrong ones?

Home made vanilla in a root beer float. Now your talkin!!

You know Okie, my good will is a very popular place. I go once a week and just do a walk through. We never get any good girls clothes but every once in a while I find something nice. Linnens are far and few between. I usually have like 3 or 4 things I am looking for.

I have only found 1 table cloth in the last two months.

Every time I go I see this one man, he owns an antique store in a neighboring town. I want to tell him to go away. Leave the goodies to us.

I can't wait for this fund raiser to be over I long for down time to sew.

Went to the sewing convention yesterday! I had a fantastic time!! We caught one of the seminars on how to turn a sweatshirt into a jacket and OMG the way the lady explained it it seemed so easy!
I talked to the Baby Loch lady about my serger machine because we have been having so many problems keeping it threaded and her response was "I don't know what is wrong with your serger and why its not working but look at this newer better model!"
OMG!! I am telling you I am in serious WANT of this serger machine she showed me!! It SELF THREADS!!!!! Took her less than 30 seconds to thread the machine!!!! The machine can do ruffles! It can do ruffles and attach them to a non ruffled piece all at the same time! It can do blind hems! It can do rolled hems!! I am telling you I WANT this machine!! It is SWEET!!
They will even take the serger machine that the lady from church gave me as trade....so that would bring the price down from $1800 and with the 'show special' this machine would be $1200!! They even did payment plans!
Needless to say I am still in WANT of this machine but I am not getting it anytime soon!!
I came home and told my DH all about the machine and he was like "Where do they sell this? We are going to get it! We can go tomorrow!" LOL!! He is the lucky soul that gets to rethread the serger that I have now everytime I break the thread which is like a million times before I can even get a project done! But, being that I am the voice of reason...or at least the person who is in charge of paying bills...I did not get it.

Now I have a million more ideas of things to sew and make running around in my head! Uhh....I just need to get busy and start making stuff!!

Sounds like you had a great time. Lots of new ideas. A serger that would be my next choice. I can't wait to see some of the new things you make. :)

I want one toooo! Mine is the cheapest White you can possibly buy! I make it do, but it has no features. I want one that can do a rolled hem. It's like a dream. Oh, did I mention that the store directly next to my work (JoAnn's) is a Pfaff and Husqvarna-Viking dealer? Too bad I don't have any money. :hit

Edited to clarify, I my work is JoAnn's, the store next to JoAnn's is called Boomer's and sells the NICE machines.

We have a Viking store about 10 minutes out past the mall...about 45 minutes from me.
I have been trying to think of ways that I can make $1200 all day! Considering how much I use my serger now...and with all the features this machine has...I know I would get my monies worth out of it!! But, $1200 is still a LOT of $$!!

I had one baby chick hatch this morning!! It had pipped last night and had made a little bit of progress this morning when DH got up for work. Then when I got up he had hatched! Now I am hoping that more will hatch! At least I know that the temp spike the other day did not kill them all.

Yep! These are from my BJGs! I only have Turkey (Bourben Reds) and my BJG in this hatch. I set 40 more BJG eggs yesterday in my second 'bator that had 14 heritage turkey eggs. I do not want to start any other chicken breeds because I do not want mutts. I am selling my BJG eggs and I want to keep them pure. If I had my other coop separated off (in its own pen) I would get other chickens but for now this is enough. My other 7 BJG's that I hatched a few weeks ago are getting big!!

OMG! I just had to laugh and share this with you all!
I was going over DS's school work and this is what I came across:

The question: According to the reading, how are most Muscovites adjusting to the change from a communist economic system to a capitalist one?
His response: They like the change of the economic system to a capitalist one because the government said that they had to.
