Lovin' The Homestead
So, in an attempt to force 'real life" back on myself. I have been playing in the kitchen. Today, I am refrigerator pickling eggs. Specifically Beets and purple eggs and a hot habanero egg and onion combo for my sweet husband. In my search for recipes I found that some are shelf stable and some are most certainly not. Malt vinegar seems to be the common thing found in the ones that are shelf stable. Anyone got any ideas for something other than malt vinegar and still having a shelf stable egg?
