probably the same spray i just picked up (red label "enforcer" brand) it gets good reveiws but it pretty much works as an growth regulator (meaning the eggs never hatch and the pupea cant molt and then die...
im hoping if i can end the actual lifecycle of the nasty little parasites (kill em before their fleas) i might be able to easier get the adults under control.
gonna spray everything in the morning, let it dry and then dust DE under the seat cushions/in the cracks and crevises to try and also kill some of the adults too.

once the advantage arrives im hoping that will then kill the last ones...if they cant hide anywhere i should be able to get a handle on this...
ive never had this kind of flea issue and i know its not just because of the area...i was having an issue with fleas on ruby before we moved...then dozer came with them and between the 2, 1 female can become 500 in the space of 2 weeks. *shudder*

The stuff I got is called Zodiac Advanced Indoor Insect Spray. And, it's supposed to work on adult fleas, flea eggs, flea larvae and ticks. Hubby was upset because I only got a can of it. He wanted me to get a gallon of it! I was on the bike, and this was B4 I got the milk crate to carry stuff. There was no way the gallon jug would have fit in my back pack. And, I'm glad I DIDN'T get the gallon. We didn't even go all the way thru a can of it.

in a positive update, i spent the money today on a pair of bypass lopper/pruners...they cant handle anything much over 1" but most of the privet i have to fight with is around and under that size...
and after my last post i whent outside and reclaimed that chainlink pannel that was being eaten by shrubbery...

i want to say its an 8ft section obviously used as a gate, took lots of lopping of privet and pulling and tugging but it is finally free and in suprisingly GOOD condition. the strand of barb wire along the top needs to be removed, its a tentus shot waiting to happen lol...and the pipes themselves have some very light rust (nothing some steel wool wouldnt take care of) but its 100% usable...
yay for a free 8ft section of fencing/gate.
tomorrow, if the weather gooperates im gonna go move some more shingles...
i also need to put some serious thought into how im takcling the sheds...
took a look at them while out there after playing free the gate and i can say for certain the wood used for the walls is NOT salvagable...not yet sure if the framing is, i cant get in there to check it out...but im thinking i should at the very least start ripping the siding boards off and removing the rotten ends...they will probably be usable for at least a couple of years as the walls for my sqft beds.

once the sides are pulled off and the sheds emptied of the JUNK i can re-evaluate the actual framing and see if its usable. location wise its actually a great spot for the chicken coop, its under one of the big oaks, neer the house, backs down a little hill onto th opening (meaning i can put a fenced run in back very easily and itll be sunny, but the coop itself would be shaded in sumer and semi sheltered in the winter.
if the frames gone though itll get torn down and ill start again...
my other otpion woudl be to simply have someone hit it with a dozer (and im not talking the puppy) wel see what happens as i try to pull the wood off...
unfortunatly however thats now another tool i need as the hammer claw simply wont do it...so i need a crowbar...
ill try with the hammer...but i think im going to need the seriousness that is a pry-bar.

im going to reward myself for making it through a mentally tough day by making garlic bread pizza....(its pretty much extra cheese pizza with lots of garlic added lol)

Pinky, I frequently cut things larger than you're supposed to be able to w/pruners. It's all a matter of knowing how to do it. But then again, I worked on a fruit farm for 2.5 years, and much of the fall, winter and spring was spent pruning trees. I've used my body and the ground for getting extra pressure on the cutting part. And, you want to make sure you have it position so that the blade is getting the most force-not the other side. You can also cut as far as you can, then flip the pruners over, and do the same from the other side. ;)

I has 8 pound sledge hammer and a sawzall, a set of hedge clippers, a couple wheel barrows, various rakes, or even a leaf blower if you'd rather :D You has things to tear down/clean up/haul off etc. :D I could sure use the chance to blow off some steam with that sledge ;) We can take at least one load of crappy shingles off too. DD already said she'd help and neighbor kid may come help too just to get out of the house. It's up to you though. Your place and all.

You can consider it a Cristmas gift from us :) Just make a list and PM me what you need done the most and we'll gather proper tools and head over to put in several hours and bring a picnic lunch to share.

I promise I won't drop your freezer off a truck this time

omg that woudl be amazing!
hmm, lets see, lists not too long in terms of the must dos
ive got 1 old semi standing sheds that need clearing out and at least semi tearing (at the very elast the planks pried/sledged off
1 old shed thats pretty much down and needs some sledge/prying on the main support structures (most of the woods been removed from that one)
some privet to descimate and plenty to haul. (quite frankly the mass of shingles scares me the most LOL!)

id say the sledge hammer, sawsall (though if electric a long extension cable woudl be needd as i dont own one lol) a wheel barrow or 2 and gloves for those hands would be the most usefull...even if we just got down the boards off the structure under to oak tree that would be HUGE... once i can see what the framing is like ill at least know if i can straighten it up and reface it or not lol...

oooo this could be fun, definatly alot of smashy smashy to get done :p

and your welcome to any usable shingles, scrap metal ect at the end of the day if youd like it. pretty much if you find something you can use in the process lol!
plus there will be dozer and puppy lovins for anyone that wants them :p

ok today just got 10 bajillion times better...good frineds willing to help and my toaster oven just dinged to tell me my pizza is ready! WOOOOT!
