well i talked to the dr...

he had me do a "mini stress test" on the phone...
had me run as hard and as i could for 1 minute on the spot then breath as hard and fast as i could for 30 seconds ontop of it and see what happend.
sure enough after about 30 secconds of running on the spot the spot above my eye tightend, my finger tips started kinda tingling and at the end of the process the smell hit like a metric buttload of bricks!

the diagnosis...
a simple partial seizure...
probably brought on by a combination of being tired, being stressed, not eating frequently enough and a bloood pressure drop (which is why it hit full fource after comming in form taking the dogs out, in that time i sat own then stood up pretty fast to take my sweater off then sat down again then stood up fast to clean up some puppy poop, bent over to clean up and it hit hardest when i stood back up from that...

he ordered me to eat some lunch give it 1/2 an hour and if i still had tingling or smelling it to go into the office...

I ate and the smell seems to have gone away.

aparently these kinds of seizures can be induced by shortness of breath which is why he had me get out of breath.
he said given my history with seiures this could either be a 1 off thing, something that could happen if i allow my blood sugar or blood pressure to drop (triggered event) or something that becomes more frequent.
simple complex seizures are generally more of a nuisance than anything else and quite common in people with a medical history like mine with psychiatric concerns...
he wants me to get intouch with the psych and get that back on the ball (the meds for the anxiety are anti seizure meds lol), eat little and often (at least 5 meals a day) and if it happens again hell run a ct scan to make sure theres nothing odd going on in there...simple partials can be caused by brain tumors but he belives mine are linked to my pre-existing "issues" and this one might just be a total fluke...

so yay i can now add a new type of seizure to my list. LOL!
least I now know what it probably was.

he did say its unlikely to be a mini stroke given my age and the symptoms so thats good news...id much rather have a simple partial than a stroke lol.
Oh well, its pretty outside, think im going to throw on some clothes and see if i can rip some more boards off the shed...im planning on using them to make the veggie beds :D, which given i now know the last frost date estimates for my house i know i have to get strarted sorting soon because i can direct sew and get some stuff in as early as february....*blink blink* lol.

then, i think after i do that for a while im going to reward myself with a "long" (as long as you can get with a 30 gal tank) hot shower before dinner.
im hoping the beef thaws in time, planning to put a nice chunk of beef under the broiler for a nice london broil...but its counter top right now trying to thaw in time lol.
if not ill have home made pizza tongiht and save the broil for tomorrow.
after dinner im thinking cheesey movie and a hot drink culminating in a relitivly early night (about 10pm)

Glad you got it sorted out! Good too that it can (hopefully) be managed without additional meds. Please be careful and don't overdo it with the shed!

im using the family health clinic in henderson...the doc seemed to pay attention when i was telling him about the previour issues ect but i was worried he wasnt realy paying attention...
aparently he was lol.
so far the phantom smell seems to have gone away...
part of the problem is im SUPPOSED to eat every 3 hours...3 "meals" and 2 "snacks" (healthy of course) but i often forget...
so i have an alarm on my phone that goes off every 3 hours...
yeah my phone battery was dead...

but...i got pizza is in the oven for dinner since my peice of beef didnt finnish defrosting in time.
thats ok, its almost there so i coated it in garlic pepper and salt on boh sides and put it back in the fridge to finnish thawing up for tomorrow. ive got 1 last sweet potatoe which im thinking about turning into "fries" to go with it :D (i love sweet potatoe fries!) it should make at least 2 meals and have enough left over for sammiches so im kinda excited.
tonights home made pizza is simple, cheesy garlic bread pizza :)
nommy nom.

still got plenty of meat in the freezer but im running short on thigns to go with so next week is grocery shopping lol.
Cindi...any idea where i might find Quinoa?!

as a side note...
chasing up somone on craigslist with bare root tripple crown thronless blackberrys at $1.50 a plant...there neer nash though so gonna see how much to ship some out...*fingers crossed*

Quinoa...hmm..I'd try Ada's first. They may have it. I did have their number somewhere...ha 934-9301. Call and ask. I have sweet taters, want some? I got a bunch on that truckload today and have a few left over I can save back with the limes I saved for you. I also have you a few pints of cherry tomatoes if ya want them, but let me know or they might walk off
