lol, mabe...
ive never had bread stay that fresh for so long...usually itll go stale long before it starts to grow mold, but at the minimum ill get the odd mold growth on bread ive had a few DAYS too many...
this ones over a month past opening and i probably woudl have lasted another month LOL
in other news, got some bad this evening.
remember the 3 little kittens..
got an email from one of the owners...
aparently leo was into the vet today because hes been letharic and not eating, and hes got an enlarged heart...
the vet thinks its congenital heart failure so there taking him to a specialist...
the WEIRD thing is generlaly for congenital heart failur in a cat this young he would have had to be born with a heart defect...this kitten was normal and the fiestiest of the group...the vet found no health issues before he whent home and certainly no heart murmer...
im hoping its a case of the vet jumping to conclusions, many things can cause water reteniton and heart swelling most of which are completly treatable...
because this little guy was 100% clean bill of health before he left here and id never have rehoed him if i or the vet thought otherwise...
and if its not congenital (which given no prior symptoms and no issues as a kitten is VERY unlikely) then its something theyve done, hes been exposed to ect.
ive asked them to keep me updated...
but the entire situation is weird.
i talk to mouses owner every week and have willow here with me both are healthy as horses and their momma is healthy as a horse too...
so if its gentic it would have had to come from daddy...but for this issue to hit a kitten less than a year old...and the kitten has NO prior symptoms and had no heart issues at birth its REALY realy unlikely and odd...
infection, heartworm and some poisons can cause these symtpms too.
edit to add, got a reply back, said theyd know what the actual diag is tomorrow, but that hes shown NO other symptoms prior to having trouble breathing this morning...
congential doesnt just come on like that in my opinion...generally a younger cat will act almost like an asthmatic at first, playing the quickly getting out of breath ect...not just suddenly be fine one night and the nextmorning have trouble breathing...
theres soemthing not adding up here so itll be interesting to find out what actually happens with this.
i hope its nothing and the lil guy is fine, he was always such a feisty little love bug...
might have found a loveseat for my livingroom *fingers crossed*
he wanted $100...
i asked him if he delivered...
e said he woudl deliver it for $100 total...
i told him i had $75 to include delivery...
lets see what happens, from the pictures it looks like new, chocolate microfiber would go perfectly in the livingroom as is and i could pick up a slipcover for it to change it up too it i wanted (light in the summer dark in the winter )
means no training classes for Dozer this month, but i think hes doing ok with working with him at home, i just need to make more one on one time for him without ruby and jasper pushing in...
i can take him to the beginner class next month rather than the puppy class this month.
i realy do need more seating before daddy comes to visit.
ok change of plans...
the way they want to arrange this just isnt going to work with my need to do's tomorrow so ive told them let me know if they still have it on friday and if so we'll figure it out then...
if its meant to be mine ill get an email on friday...if not i wont...
im kinda thinking with my livingroom configuration 2 chairs or recliners woudl work better with my layout anyway so im not going to rush into somehting im not completly sure about right now.
i dont think dad will be comming untill feb anyway so ive got time
I know if I ever had a small house, I'd go w/my "basket" chair and a recliner. I'd forget about a couch or a love seat. And, instead of a piano, I'd probably go for a full sized key board.
yeah i deifnatly prefer the idea of chairs...
recliners would be even better ebcause you can still set back and relax on them like you can with a loveseat or sofa but when not in use they tuck back into a normal char sized space
plus chairs are definatly a lot easier when you need to move a space around fro whatever reason...
so i think im going ot hold out for either 2 recliners or comfy chairs instead
i only have about 70-75" of wall space to put something else against (even if i moved the livingroom about this is the max im getting without banishing jack jack to the back bedroom) and i put that i have a maximum of 75" to put furniture in on my craigslist wanted add...
this woman emailes me with a sleeper sofa thats "not that long" so i asked her "whats the measurment on it because as i said in the wanted listing, ive only got 75" total to include arms (people never include the arms)"
her responce "its only 79", its not that big...itll fit..., then adds "oh its $200 but its almsot new and only has 1 hole in it...its a queen sleeper so its worth alot more..."
cause now i have the magical ability to lengthen my walls.
told her thanks but in order to make it fit id never be able to use my front door again (79" would actually prevent my front door for opening in the space i have to put this thing)
she emailes me back all attitudy about how NOONE lives in a house that small and itl fit in ANY room and how dare i turn down such a good offer...
blink blink*
look lady
first of all im not paying $200 for a peice of damaged furniture (im not paying that for a peice of furniture in GOOD shape)
second, i live in my house, i know how much space i have to put it...and 79" is too long (and probably doesnt include the arms of the dang things either since its a queen sleeper...)
third, im not looking for a sleeper, id never use the sleeper because my livingroom isnt big enough to pull it out and safely get around it
fourth, YOU eamiled me, how dare you take attitude because you didnt read my add or thought i had magicall growing walls...
GAH!
anywho.
yeah i think im going to hold out for the right furniture...
in other news, got another email from leos people...vet now thinks its hypertropic cardiomyopathy, a thickening of the heart walls (and treatable if caught early) it can be genetic, but the vet says theres no way to tell AND its dfinatly not something he "had" before (otherwise they would have picked it up when he whent for his neuter 3 months ago)
so its nothing i missed...
i think shes trying to gently guilt me into offering to pay for his vet care, but she got this little guy for $5...im sorry but i didnt offer a genetic guarentee or health contract because i dont know the cats linages...i told you this when you took him...
but yeah i feel a little better that its definatly not somethign i missed when he was little, or something the vet missed on his vet check before he whent home...
other than that todays nothign special, gonna go into henderson to pay my gas bill, see if piggly has any sunday papers left they did on monday but who knows when they throw em out...pick up an envelope to send the CT plates back, and then get the plates switched out and the old ones mailed out...
then its home to clean.
and in huge good news...
my first weigh in of 2012...
my goal was to be 165 for my first 2012 weigh in...i not only reached the goal...i passed it...
164.2! SQUEE!.
so now i have to decide exactly what im going to do to reward myself for this one, this was my BIG goal, and i havent rewarded myself for any of this journey...
may spend some time in goodwill when i go up to jackson and buy myself a new outfit
i now also have to decide what my next step is.
im happy, i reached a NORMAL BMI...so if i dont loose another lb, as long as i dont gain im happy...
but...i think id like to try and loose another 14.2 lbs by September 18th (my 2 year surgi-versary) that would put me at 150.
tomorrow i start Zumba classes too so that should help with this next lag of the journey. i think i can do 1 1/2lbs a month...right?!
im going to start zumba once a week on thursdays (they hold twice a week) for the first 3 months...then up it to twice a week. giv emy body chance to get into the swing of things (zumba can be realy intense) im also going to rework some yoga/pilates back into the daily routein, something ive been neglecting since i got started figuring out this whole move.
if that all doesnt keep this moving...i dont know what will lol.
SUPRISE I had to go to Jackson this morning...crisis of a friend, had to take person and drop off...I've gotten nothing done, homestudy tomorrow...blah blah blah HOWEVER...I did find quinoa. Ada's has it at a very good price in comparison to the healthfood store(The Maple Leaf) on N. Highland just before you get to Campbell St. in Jackson where I first looked. The Maple Leaf has organic quinoa for $7 for a 1 pound box. Ada's has it for about half that, not labelled organic, but may still be. I think they grow their own Not sure though, but it's worth asking if you just have to have organic.
sorry about leo, at least it's treatable. Congrats on meeting your goal!!!
well then ill be stopping by Adas as some point this week.
i dont care if its organic or not...
its essnetlly my "cheat" its a complete protein while still being carb-ish. i trty to use it in place of rice and want to try out some breackfast recipies with it too...lol
i like the slight nuttyness...kinda thinking about trying to grow my own but i know grain needs quite a bit of space for any real production.
speaking of crops...
i need the names of some good seed catalougs...need to start planning my garden and not sure where to realy look for good seeds.
