LOL, you win...

yes my car is a convert lol.

i love the looks i get when i tell people i drive topless whenever the weather allows.

on the other hand when i got my car i had people tyr and tell me i was a spoilt brat who had more money than i knew what to do with because i bought a convertable...
didnt matter to them that 1: i bought it used for $5000, 2: i traded my old car in for $3000 and 3: i paid every dime myself from money id saved...
and despite her being a little heavy on gas (shes a v6, and gets 21-23 mpg...sad part is my hyndai befor eher only got 22-25mpg lol.) she was worth every penny :D

some people are just jealous! :p

(my car is a chrysler sebring, and will eventually be ainted hot pink with black stars, or black with hot pink stars...one day...one day!

had a good morning...
its sunny, not warm as such...but sunny.
started my day with a mango smoothie (0% fat stony feild farms plain yogurt, 1/2 a cup of ice and pure mango puree..yummy)
then swimming, then lunch (1 egg scrambled with 1 sausage link and 1/2 a fruit cup) yummy!!!

now im taking 5 mins before trying to get everyone moving to do some more stuff in the garden, the chickens realy need their new run sorted out, we need to make a trip to get wood to make a gate to the new run and a roll of fencing.
we have the posts, as well as posts to put the "mkae it higher" barrier and the fencing for that (trying to 1: make the existing 4ft fence chicken escape proof and 2: keep the deer out so we have a couple of rolls of deer netting and some canes to attatch to the fenceposts...hoping those plus many many zip ties shoudl do the trick. lol)

lesson: when i get my own place and am planning my chicken coops and runs, always give them twice as much space as i think they will need lol. the coop itself is big enough, and the run is 140sqft, but out girls tell us in no uncertain way its not big enough...they also made it clear that free ranging would also include the decimation of all our flowers...so new run addition it is :p

in other news, the kittens have started picking at wet food :D momma is of course still feeding/cleaning them, (next week will be intro to litterbox time) but i put her wet food in the pen with them and shes teaching them how to eat, as of right now, the boys are pigs and my little peanut isnt very interested...
it also looks like little bear will be short haired...and mouse and peanut/cinder will be medium-long hair...the red tabby whome im sure is daddy is short-medium haired so...
still that coudl all change, they only turned 4 weeks on friday. more pictures of them will be comming tomorrow or tuesday.

oh and did i mention, wednesday we fly to TN to see houses. VERY excited!
still trying to figure out what we'll be doing other than seeing houses, i know the zoo is on the list, as is the opryland hotel, and hopefully the bluebird cafe in nashville. weve taken the paris area off the list as the house i wanted to see there has been sold, so unless nothing new hits the market for that area we MIGHT use that day to tke a day trip to memphis OR chattanooga, or mabe knoxville...who knows...
im fairly certain that other than the seeing houses days its just going to be a case of get up and see where the day takes us.
mums paying for the gas so *dances*

they both seem a little more supportive of this whole thing now *yay* this morning dad was telling me that he'll help me buy a small generator for my house once i get settled in so he doesnt have to worry about me so much...oh and if the house doesnt have a basment how building a strom shelter needs to be one of my top priorities.
I want a root cellar anyway so, hey, ill just build a realy STRONG root cellar! :p
its nice to feel a little more supported by them.

my mum told my uncle about it, i think she thought hed side with her opinion...but he got all excited said it was a wonderfull plan and that hes going to save up so that when he comes to visit hell be able to hire a motorcycle and spend a couple of weeks with my parents, then him and dad can ride the motorbikes down and spend a week with me... (2 weeks total due to the traveling) he loves the idea of taking a road trip and seeing some more of america. (and yes he is a very experienced motorcyclist...though hes more into the sports bike feel than classic cruisers...but i love him anyway lol.

but yeah. sun is shining, so time to get this show on the road!
(im kind of tired and yet kind of hyped up...i blame the tiredness on swimming 1 1/2 miles this morning (in less than an hour OUCH!) and the hyperness on the combination of mango smoothie and the mini peppermint patty i just ate....WEEEEEE!

managed to get the gate post and fence up for the new chicken play area, letting the post set up then tomorrow evening were going to try and get the gate built and hung so the girls can actually enjoy that extra space, the area is 25' x 50' should be plenty of scratch and mess up room for 11 hens lol.

trying to id a shrub we have all over the place here too...
no idea what it is, it grows like a weed, ive never seen a shrub that grows this quick, and they multiply like rabbits, over the past 10 years 2 small shrubs has turned into 1 huge shrub thats at least 13ft tall, 1 once huge, been hacked apart and still keeps comming shrub, and about 50 of its offspring...

trying to id them is insane, its a huge shrub, long twised arching brnaches, some NASTY thorns and these almost clear skinned red berries in the fall, the berris remind me a little of redcurrants, they arnt that deep red color of typical berries theres almost a translusent feel to them. the leaves are longer slightly lobed and silvergrey ish...

gah.
no matter how many we pull up, hack apart and attempt to destroy...they keep comming.

the cardinals love them though.

ding ding ding...we have a winner...
turns out its elaeagnus umbellata or Autum Olive...
aparently the berries are edible...
all i know is it grows like a freekng weed and is trying to take over our pure sand hill...

stupid crazy take over the world shrub!

thanks anyway, the fact you figured out what i was talking about from my description is impressive...i might as well have just said evil alien invader lol.

i keep reading the berries are good...but i dont think there good enough for it to be taking over our yard so i found out exactly what we need to do to get rid of the realy BIg mother plants that block alot of the light...

we'll leave all those on the otherside of the felnceline up on the hill intact, 1: not our problem not our land, and 2: they make a great screen and the song birds love the berries.
its just they grow so fast...and reproduce like bunnies on speed! ours are not only reproducing by seed spread (and wildlife spread) but they both also send out mass amounts of runners every year.

i hate to kill healthy plants, especially those that are obviously doing sooo well lol. but i got a feelign removing the 2 in our yard wont damage the population of them lol. especially after i got one of their thorns in my butt cheek last year...ive never seen a thorn that big, no joke, 3" long and probably a 12 gauge if we go by peircing sizes

i sat down to take a few minutes got this owwie feeling and the damned thing had embedded itself in my butt cheek THROUGH jeans...i couldnt even pull it out myself it was that well in there...so here i am, hurting, with my but pointing in dads direction begging him to just yank the damned thing out...hes laughing at me, because its funny and im obviously over reacting...grasps it tugs and it WONT BUDGE...he literlaly had to grasp it with piliers and realy pull to get that sucker out. my butt cheek was sore for weeks after that one. i kept the thorn, but now i cnat find it :(

my random embrassing tangent for yall lol.

today is mums spa day, im very excited to see her face, im not yet sure if ill wait with her (its a couple of hours) or if im goin to go keep myself busy untill shes done.
then after that we need to go get groceries to tide everyone over while were away.

tomorrow is packing day (which will take all of 5 mins for me LOL) and finalizing everything...gonna call the car company, airline and hotel to make sure everything is in their systems...dunt want any issues on arrival.

and make a checklist for my siblings and father for taking care of the critters, oh and cleaning day, bird cages, litterboxes ect will all be throughly cleaned before i go so they will only have to spot clean the litterboxes.

hard to belive we fly out on wednesday, this is becomming more real now!

:woot for Wednesday!

Definitely see the zoo - when I went to Nashville some years ago we went there and it was well worth it! Oh you're going to have so much fun!!! It's such a beautiful place - if you're into country music you should also go to the hall of fame. WONDERFUL place!!

I think the more you actually DO for this whole adventure the more your parents will back you up. They'll see how serious you are and know that there's just no stopping you so might as well support you!

thanks, im sooo excited...

in odd news...

i was looking into the homepath reno mortgages as my current fave house qualifies...says clear in the description, qualifies for homepath renovation mortgage...

so i called around as wells fargo doesnt work with the homepath reno's...

you know whats frustrating...to be told that despite the listing saying it qualifies, the banks that will do the renovation mortgages wont finance for as low as this home is selling for...
its a $50,000 minimum for them to finance you because otherwise it costs them too much money *head desk*

so i called homepath to find out whats the deal, and they have no idea, they didnt know the banks they were working with have these caps and she was certain at least one bank should be able to do it...

i only talked to 3 of the 4 banks today about it and they dont...so mabe the 4th is a winner!?
its soooo silly.

so i asked her about other options, because wells fargo and centruy 21 both do the normal homepath...but nope, its home path reno approved which means no standard homepath financing *thud*
i told her this was ridiculous and asked how they expected peopel to get financing to buy their lower priced properties when the mortgage companies wont support their loans.

this also got me to thinking...oh boy what if wells fargo wont do a small mortgage, then i hit myself in the noggin, i told my mortgage guy i was looking for $20-$30,000 and he said that wouldnt be a problem...
im pretty sure if it ends up being a problem i can sue or something for telling me fibs! lol.

i could still go fha but i was hopign to avoid the extra stuff by going with the company its already aproved with...silly me trying to save time and energy...what WAS i thinking.

in other news, mum lOVED her spa-day.

We have a ton of those bushes growing around here, that's why I knew what they were. I think we might actually have both, which is why I can't figure out which we have. I had had someone id them for me years ago, and they told me they were Russian olive. Then, my dendrology professor said they were Autumn olive, until I asked, then he changed it to Russian olive. But I have noticed that they don't all look quite the same, and I think that's why there's confusion at least around here.

well after all the insanity with trying to figure out the homepath stuff, the house i was most interested in got an offer today, agent says shell know by thurs if its accepted or not...if the offer is obviously that house wasnt meant to be,
i guess its the agrivating side of doing this long distance...

i still have a couple more on the list im realy interested in, but mabe this is natures way of saying they dont want me that far east lol...
gonna do anohter online search tomorrow to see if i can add any houses to the list mabe closer to the western side of the state...lol

ever get to the point where you just want to beat your siblings?

my little sister is 18, and ridiculous, she never contributes around the house, is never home ect and her room looks like that of a 15yr olds, the girl doesnt even know how to do laundry...or aparently how to fold and put clothes away, heck im pretty certain shes unaware of how to work a laundry basket even...

well dads got ATT comming in tomorrow to hook us up for thier service (cheaper than comcast for better service) and he told her she NEEDS to clean her room (as right now the guys cant get in there) this was 2 weeks ago, still not done...
so this morning he tells me to tell her, shes not to go out untill that room is spotless...

so i tell her and IM the one that gets attitude, i just told her, dad asked me to remind you you need to get your room tidy today for the cable guys coming at 9am tomorrow...
her responce was to roll her eyes and tell me in a none so plesent tone that shes "going out" and "itll get done..."
so i added, he also said he didnt want you going out untill its done...
her responce was to start yelling at me about how "itll get done" and how i need to shut my mouth because im not the boss of her, shes an "adult" and noone can tell her what to do.

i just wanted to give her a smack, 1: how dare she talk to me like that when i was relaying a message to try and keep her out of trouble...and 2: if she wanted ot be treated like an adult she dang well needs to start acting like one. that involes putting your crap away!

her reasoning for going out...
she promised our brother shed treat him to lunch today and thats where THEY are going...

well isnt that sweet....
execpt our brother is still upstairs in his underware playing his video games and shes gone...LMAO....treating him to lunch my butt, hed have to be going with you for that to work.

i did my job, i passed on the requested message...ive got my own stuff to get sorted, still need to finnish packing and getting everything ready.
