WHEW...

I DID IT :celebrate

it took me a couple of hours, LOTS of stopping to refeed the weed wacker (i cannot get that thing to self feed no matter what i do) some choice words and lots of sweat BUT i managed to cut a path through the realy tall weeds to meet the path ive already cut through the woods!
i cant belive me and chompers managed it but boy we did!

so now, a cold drink...
then ice to the bunnies (its 84 with a feel like of 82 so i figue if i give them ice beofr it gets much hotter itll help keep them cooler over all...)
then lunch and some lazyness, then ill head on out with the t-posts and t-post pounder and start getting the corners in...count up about how many step ins i need and that should have me al set for fence supply shopping next week.
im hopign i can get away wihtout too many step in posts as thats where the additioanl expense will add up quickly at $2 a post for the cheap ones....
BUT i do have a 15% off coupon for TSC so that will help take about $20 off the origional estimated total :D

il get this fence doen if it kills me!

and then...everything i do is just one big damend waste of money...
whent out to get the corner posts set...
no freeking t-Post setter...i cant get these things in on my own wihtout my t-post setter, i keep it in the laundry room...its NOT in the laundry room, nor is it under the carport, on the back deck, in the house or anywhere along any of the fencelines ive put in thus far...

either it got packed up with my dads tools when they were leaving...
or "its grown legs and walked away" (aka, been taken...)

i cant do ANYTHING on this fence without a t-post pounder...1 hammering t-posts in with a mallet is the equivalent of trying to stack ladders to the moon...trying to do it myself is the equivalent of using a rope to get to the moon instead of ladders...
so Now...not only do i need about $200 worth of fencing supplies, unless the t-post setter magically shows up...i now need to add another $25 ontop of that in order to put the damned fence up!
now that may seem like a trivial amount but JUST getting the suplies to put the fence up alone was going to be a real struggle...i literally dont have an additioanl $25 to spend on a new t-post setter when ive got one thats just vanished...

so please send out vibes to the find it faries that my t-post setter shows up before i loose my mind.
this past few months have been odly stressfull and this just puts a cherry on it..i just want to cry, im working so dang hard to try and get thigns in place around here so i dont have to live month to month wondeirng if ill have enough to make ends meet, so i can save some money in the long run...working so damned hard to make this work and somehting so stupid and ridiculously small comes along ramms the breaks on and laughs in my face...

2 years...thats what i gave myself to make this place start looking like some kind of progress...right now ive got the starts but everything keeps throwing speed bumps and depth charges at me pushing me backwards...
im doing this on my own and days like today i feel so useless and alone i wonder why the hell i thought i could actually do this, just want to go crawling back and prove everyone who said i couldnt right...

i know this mood wil pass, i know im just frustrated right now...
but seriously, if this is some kind of test to prove how mch i can take...im warning whoevers watching now that im about ready to snap...
Im trying to make this work on $700 a month...so come on cosmic jokesters, give me at least a SMALL break right now...a freeking T-Post setter...realy THATS what your going to make me loose it over...THATS what your going to make this fencing project take untill August for?! Honestly?!

:hide I have one. I am so sorry you are having a crappy time of things. I do very well know how you feel though. We're trying to make it right now on thin air pretty much. We only have what we can drag out of the woods, which isn't much :hu It royally sucks. On the bright side, you do have reliable income. :hugs

i stuffed myself full of some garlic triscuits and the carb rish seems to have balanced the mood a little, sometimes a little junk food goes a long way.
going to do pork chop and pasta salad for dinner tonight i think...im needing the carb kick.

yay bacon! lol.

cindy do you know of anyone looking for guinea keets, 6 pearls, 2 weeks old, $4 a peice or all 6 for $20. asking for another friend...

this morning has been lovely weather wise, it was only in the mid 60's while i was doing the goats and rabbitsthis morning and absolutly perfect! (almost chilly enough to need somehting more than my tank top...temps are rising though fairly quickly as were already at 82. and a high of 95 planned for the day...

im not entirely sure what the heck happend to our upper 90's for the restof the week, but theyve bene changed, 106 tomorrow, 109 for friday and 108 for saturday sundays showing 102 and next week is saying 99's across the board, HOLY HECK. think im going to have to do something over the next few days to protect the buns in the hutches that are gettign the afternoon sun, i dont think ice is going to cut it so im going to be hauling the dog crates out there in the morning (ive got 3 i can set up) under the car port and setting the mini rex and rowans last female under there. its the only thing i can think of right now. the other hutches can all get ice bottles (multiples if needed) since they are primarily shaded all day...but im wondering if its worth going picking up an upright fan from walmart (one of the ocilating ones) and putting that out there as an extra on the buns i cant move under the car port.
im told the average for this time of year is closer to the 90's so im going to take thier word for that i think hopewe get a break in the weather soon (not to mention we could realy do with a little rain my "grass" is crispy! ive got a little fan i can use for the 3 cages under the car port, but i figure something to just keep some air flow going, especially since im going out on saturday and have no idea what time ill be home so wont be able to change out the ice bottles as frequently.

anywho...todays plan is to get this house clean again, dshes to do ect...so just having a drink and then will be "hop to"

so yup tripple digits heading our way over the next few days which means im in bunny meltdown mode.

i picked up some guinea keets from a freind today and sold them for a small profit, used that profit to buy a box fan which im going to set up tonight and see how much space it covers
then tomorrow morning we may be playing a game of "move everyone around" to make sure everyons going to be cool enough fro the next 2 weeks while this nasty heat comes through...
good news is looks like i have the kr rex doe going home tomorrow (im trying to get them to come tonight)
and the mini rex pair looks like theyll be going home on sunday as long as things go according to plan.
ive got my fingres crossed because then im just left with bluebells babies, blackberries baby and my adult rex to worry about...but stil im a tad worried...

In other news...i designed my "barn" online today, for what i want to do im aparently looking at about $8000...so at least now ive got a savings goal...im expecting it to only take me about 10 years to save for lol. for an extra $2500 i can get it twice the lenght and have enough room for EVERYTHING in there (rabbits, horses, female goats, milking room ect...) but that little upgrade woudl depend on if i could, how much i could, and how much my mortgage payment woudl increase because of...
its just a dream right now lol.

The kittens have started to open their eyes, so yay for cuteness...
and it looks like its been snowing outside as the geese are moulting LOL!

and that folks is the sum total of the day.

Hell called...
they want their weather back!
Holy hades its hot out there!
Currently 101 with a hgh of 106 due around 4pm...

Going to go out and check on everyone VERY shortly, got the fan on the hutch bank im most worried about and ice in with everyone (and im going to go swap it out very shortly and might even give the buns some frozen broccoli while im at it, but ill be honest, this next week or so is going to make me prematurely grey... with worry about them. today is suppoed to be the hottest day with a high of 106, tomorrow and aturday are currently listed for 104 and the 102 on sunday...next week there saying 99-s through most of the week with a 20-40% chance of thunder storms (i wont lie the rain will be nice but with temperatures like that its going to make it REALY steamy by adding ground moisture)
this weather pattern needs to pass...i can handle 90-95, but beyond the 95 mark its just plain crazy.

Tomorrow ive got nothing planned other than babying thebuns as much as possible...
but saturday im out...were not going to be out late but my friend wants company going to a rabbit show where shes picking up some new buns...so im hoping were going to be home by late lunch time...thats when the temps realy seem to start to climb...
Ive decided im definatly doing the colony once money gets back on track, i need to sell bluebells litter and that money will buy an extra bag of feed and supplies to get the colony set up.

I need to sell 3 additional bunnies to get the guinnes house sorted out, im hoping i have the pair sold...if not i definatly have the mini rex doe sold...
and im realy hoping i have the himi girl going home too, someone is insterested so ive got to check back on that, hoping they can come tomorrow morning for pick up. *fingers crossed*

my ruby lady is starting to show a very slightl ut distinct loss of her svelt figure in the past couple of days, and i did think i felt at least 2 "lumps" so *fingers crossed for puppies* and ive got 5 eggs in the linnies nest box...last batch wernt fetile, and once again i havent witnessed any breeding...but least she didnt crush and eat these so far *touch wood*
