Super Self-Sufficient
well...now i think its the energizer itself.
unhooked everything this morning, pulled the "hot" wire back out of the pipe and disconected all but the first ground less than 12" from the box.
took my fence tester to the hot terminal and ground, blinking light
attatched a peice of 6" long of wire to the hot, binking light on the fence tester but not as bright when directly attatched to the terminal
took that off and clipper a peice of insulated wire on the hot, blinking light on the fence tester at terminal end but dim...binking light on other end of that wire, JUST Barely.
took it off and attatched that 6" peice of wire to the hot terminal... fence tester blinked, gritted my teeth and touched 6" peice of wire and not even a tingle...im sat AT THE BOX, the peice of wire is directly connected to the terminal is only 6" long and the ground is literally 6" from my foot...and not even a twinge...
without having a voltmeter i cant tell what the output on the box is...was going to pick one up today but the only one i could find had a 600v max (and everything im reading says you need one specifically for the E-fence as the voltage is too high for a regular one...)
its the only thing i can think of right now that would be causing this issue...
the wire is good, ive got a grounding rod less than 12" from the box right now, its putting out a pulse, but im NOT feeling it...
so im going to go up to TSC, pick up a 10 mile charger (which should do 4 strand around my entire property AND cross fencing ect with no issues (i need a 5 mile charger minimum so a 10 mile should be fine) will hook that up and see if that fixes the issue...if it does, tada, problem was the box, if it doesnt then im out of thoughts.
Looks like Dozer gets to go for some socilization today.
