got most o the cleaning done, got the livingroom, bedroom and back bedroom windows open.
i need a new screen door for the kitchen, my little magic mesh has surcumbed to the roughess of the dozey and he popped 2 magnets off today. also with the potential of letting the ducks wander in the back yard i realy do need to be able to NOT let the dogs out and stil have the door open so the hunt for a cheap but secure screen door is on. will probably start checking the salvage stores just ot sure how id get tht home in the sebring LOL!, flexible things are one thing...but a door?! lol

bird cages cleaned, litterboxes done, fish tnk topped up, just got a load of sweaters and my winter sheets to wash befor eim oficially caught up on laundry...(cant do them untill i fee upsome drying space though lol)
back room and livigroom vacumed...still need to vacume my bedroom, sort the bathroom and do the kitchen, but thisweather has me feeling pretty good abuot stuff right now lol.

still no baby! lol
but just hd the weirdest encounter...
whent to check on the bunny nests and do "eyeballs" eye meds (baby bunny who hurt his eye)
and there...IN the rabbit pen, trying, usucessfully i might add) to squeeze her big ole shell through a 2x4 space was a beautiful eastern box turtle
i kow there natve to the area so it wouldnt have suprised me quite so much ifshe was on the OUTSIDE of the pen tring to get in...but she was INSIDE the pen trying to get out

i checkes and all i can find is land predators for these guys...
i know she didnt get her self through the perimiter (bottom 12" is 1/2" mesh and the rest is 2"x4" welded...) im fairly certain she didnt climb a 3ft fence and get under the elcetric in the process, ad the pen has a floor thats tied to the sides so im pretty certin she didnt dig in or force her way under...
do bords of prey like hawks pick up these "little" (she was a mature female) guys cause im fairly sure the only way she got in was via airdrop. and i cant find any info about hawks trying to take them...

i picked her up, she was one too impressed with the intrusion of her obvious attempt at a jail break and placed her a few feet away in the brush line where theres plenty of bugs greens and damp leaves.
im worried about her though...
who knows how far she travled via air, and instinctually shes going to try and head back to wherever she came from...hopefully thats not ar away and doesnt involve any crosing of the road.

Crows and ravens will eat them, but don't know about them carrying them. And, if it was picked up by a bird, it wouldn't have gone far. Birds try to find prey that's close to home.

As for why the turtle was in there, here's one explanation.
