thanks guys, im smitten lol
momma and babies are doing great :D

well yesterdays yuck brought mud to the abbit pen...lots of it, and soaked beddig in the nest boxes.
had to bring in blackberries litter, lost 3 of her 7 they got damp and cold, but the other 4 i got uner the brooder lamp for a couple hours then once eveyrhting was clean i popped them back in the nest box
had to remove most of the fur in that nest it was jut too damp to keep em warm...saved some but will have to keep an eye on them.
the strawberry/hazel communal nest is doing ok too btu we got some upset tummies this morning, there not eating yet so must be something either one of the mommas got into.
got 1 little baby in that nest of 9 whos smaller, might try and foster her into blackberries nest once im convinced shes back to feeding her kits (they looked a little dehydrated this mrning but shes got plenty of milk so im thinking she just didnt feed cold babies)

tossed straw down in both pens to cover the mud too so everyone can sun bathe without getting compeltly filthy lol.

buns and goats got fresh hay, booked a straw delivery for probably tomorrow, 15 bales comming should be enough to do full spring clean out and have plenty left over.

lady hos buying 2 babies form me is doing a transport for me, so she stopped by for the carrier...(got a red rex buck comming, im VERY VERY excited about!)

and now ive got to work on this comission peice and get it inihsed. not much left to do on it, but still cant belive how fast the times gone that ive falled behind.

We had sloppy joe's :sick NOTHING has sounded good to me lately, and that certainly did not, so I didn't eat much :/ Bonus though, because beach weather is coming and i could stand to shed a couple pounds anyway

Yep, it's definately Springtime...I lose my appetite pretty quick when it starts getting warmer.

hey it orks for me easir to loose wieght when your not craving heavy foods lol

:( lost the last 4 of blackberries babies overnight.
they were cold thi morning. i thought wed be fine, checked them at bedime and they had full tumies and were active, but they were all gone this morning.
i hate loosing kits unnessicarily, but i can only think th chill had been too much. i also had to emove alot of fur from thenest that was wet so they didnt have quite as much insulation and the temps realy dropped last ight :(

still got 9 kits in the strawberry/hazel communal nest who seem to be doing well.
haystacks mixed litter is ready to go home this week
and the rex are ready next week, got 2 going home that will be here for an extra weekand a bitas their perso is going on vacation. trading them for my new red buck and transport fro KY this weekend.

that leaves the rew, the black otter and the owie eye castor whos going to make someone the sweetest pet ever...i go in the pen inthe morning and he doens tlikeme messing with his eye (which is starting to look sooo much better now!) but he sits there and lets me pick him up and i put him in my lap and do his drops and he sits there and snuggles for a few mins beore hopping away.
would love to see him as a house bunny.
theres a poultry club swap at R&J next wekend so ill probably take the babies up to that and try and get everyone sold.

goig to a welcome spring party this aternoon/evening so got to run into town and get some stuff to make pasta salad since most folks are bringing desert type stuff i figuresd somehting a little more savorysubstancial would be a good choice. so im making tri0color chicken bacon and ranch pasta salad. (use ranch instead of mayo)

then tomorrow starts cage building and stuff. gotta make some real progress around here.

so ive got a "welcome spring" party going o this afternoon, potluck...

everyone else is talking about cookies and fruit bars and chocolate...someones bringing a meat and cheee tray too...
but not much in the ways of savory (and it starts at 4 till whenever...)

so i figured i need to make somehting substantial enough to be a main course, simple enough to not need too much prep or storage issues and popular in geneal by most.

so i whipped up a small tested batch of some home made buttermilk ranch (im not a ranch fan but prefer it in pasta salad ove mayo lol)
took some very small tender early peas from last years caning session (my last can too)
had a can of locally raised canned chicken and some local real bacon bits form the local mennonite store...

1 bag of wacky pasta tri-color (there a whole serving of veg) added the chicken bacon and peas and the home made ranch a little pepper and garlic...(and made up a smaller batch without the chciekn and bacon for a vegitatiran frined (she does eat eggs and milk so the ranch is fine :p) OMG it turned out soooo good! like, may not even share this kind of good (i will because i dont have anything else to take but still, anything left over is commng HOME! lol...

and everything but the pasta is locally grown andor home made :D
