you too! its BRRRR, took me a while to get the bunny bottles unfrozen, but everyones got extra hay so that should help keep em warm.

its bitter sweet, but Daizy, Aspen and Buttercup just left for their new home...they actually loaded up easier than I thought they would and they seemed like great people, so I know they will be looked after.
lilly didn't seem to even notice but poppy did pop her head up and call when daizy called out... :hit

oh well, its one step closer and 1 part easier.

I also called the vet to see about health certs but wont here anything back until Monday, but I just wanted to make sure the message was there.
price on those will depend on the next steps.

its hard to see em go :/ but its for the best, and just means more room for babies later down the line.

Ahhhhh, it's hard, but sounds like the best plan for right now. I sold three today too, and it never really gets easier. I always hate to turn loose of 'em, even if that was the idea all along, lol.

well I don't have an email this morning complaining that I sold them a bunch of monsters so so far so good.
have a bit of a migrane today but trying not to let it bring my down...
managed to get critters fed and water bottles thawed out and refilled
got some junk/trash stuf (papers and things) tossed out from the kitchen, gonna work on dishes in a little while
and a quick rn otown for milk and stuff just incase tomorrows storm does bring ice and snow with it...need to do a real grocery shop next week at some point but should have enough now to see me through, imcluding a little splurge on some bacon! (haven had bacon in months lol)
ive also got 16 bean soup mix beans soaking and a pack of mild sausage thawing, going to do my sausage and bean and rice soup (its more a hearty stew than soup) which is super yummy super filling, and super CHEAP, and 1 bag of bean mix a lb of sausage meat a couple cups of rice and a couple cans of stewed tomatoes ends up making enough for a good 2 weeks worth of lunches for me so beans soak all day and then itll all get tossed together this evening set on low all night and morning tomorrow anby lunchtime YUMM...

otherwise nothing much happening, its cold...its only going to get colder the next few days, and id rather be an a beach somewhere sipping fruity cocktails
but we can all dream right?!

I agree! This time last year I was in the Cayman's at my best friend's wedding! Warm memories are wonderful for the soul - but they don't warm the body, lol.

Bean soup sounds wonderful, and I have some ham that would be mighty tasty in there. Thanks for the idea!

I made soup tonight too with a ton of onions and garlic in it..because i have just felt pretty blah the last several days. Sorry about/congrats on the goats being gone. Mixed emotions are always so much darn fun :hugs

I finally had a chance to cook up the carcass from my turkey and now need to make it into soup as well.

And, that soup w/the beans and sausage sounds good. I just might have to try it. That w/a salad would be a great lunch.

it realy is, because of the beans its realy filling and when you add the protein from the sausage its one of those meas that holds you over.

my "recipie" is just 1 bag of mixed dried beans (soaked)
salt, pepper garlic and little bit of paprika (just a small pinch)
2cans of diced tomatoes
1lb of sausage (I like sweet Italian but only had plin today so I added Italian seasoning) and tada, bring to a low boil then lid and simmer, realy good with a hunk of hearty bread and buter or with a side salad, or serve over rice or quinoa
its relay good wi spaghetti squash too!

plus it maes the house smell yummy.

in other news, the 2 angora boys that were supposed to go hom tomorrow whent home tonight, she decided se wanted to beat te yucky weather, so at least I don't have to worry about them now in this cold frot coming through.

I gave all he bunnies lots of hay (like almost a full flake per cage) to snuggle int and eat, and pulled the tarps down to block the wind since the wind chill is my biggest worry.
I moved one unused tarp to cover the top of the greenhouse, its plastic is comepltly decimated but the banties insste in roosting in there with NO protection, so I ragged a tarp over the top and lined it as much as possible with some hay flakes to make a little wind block,
I also added some hay under the deck where they also like to go hide, and added hay to the goose house and goat house.
rains supposed to come in tonight but juding by the temps it may turn to snow/ice pretty quickly and then with he wind chill tomorrow night...
