ahhh, punkin those achey joints stink don't they...just makes the whole body feel so heavy and draggin'
LOL---I will never forget "draggin' your wagon" now!

hey I went to staples.....no $50 rebate on that camera for our store. Not in the flyer or he checked online and not offered.

I am going to hit the Kodak site and see if I can print out a rebate form or something....gotta try.

I BOUGHT the camera for $89

then I bought a Canon picture printer for $99----FREE after 2 rebates of $50 each....one from canon and one from staples. Gotta fill those out and get my money back....wasn't going to do it then I thought...heck it is free...ya know..LOL...so I did it.

hope that shopping is easy for you. I went to a few stores today and honestly they were not crowded. I don't think people are letting the money fly like they did in previous years...I sure didn't.

take care and hope all is good!!

OK, back to posting. I've been lurking for a while.

All the Christmas rush is over. Got sick Sunday after Christmas. FarmerChick, must have caught it from you through cyberspace. LOL Lots of congestion and coughing, but finally broke last night.

I didn't even stay up for New Year's Eve. First time in over 20 years. Figured it would come if I were awake or not. lol

We don't have a whole lot going on, especially outside. The rainy days have been plentiful, pretty squishy outside.

Last night, DH helped put a lift kit on DS's best buds truck. (One of the brothers who's parents are seperated). I told DH last night that he has been more of a father to him than his own dad the past few months. That's really sad. It's amazing how much these 2 young men have become a part of our family. We love them being here which they are most of the time. Although, that's for selfish reasons, too. If they are here alot then my DS is here, too.

Gotta get movin' and so stuff I've neglected since I've been sick. Ya know, like housework. Huh, who am I kiddin'? I neglect that all the time. ;)

It IS amazing Punkin, how that dirt just keeps on piling up.

I am so busy with my projects and then occasionally I look around the house and WOW!

Especially with this mud outside (and two big dogs to track it in) my floors were a mess! I had to take time (out of my busy schedule :p) and give the floors a good cleaning yesterday.

I will never understand how anyone with a carpet lives. We have all hardwood and tile. I feel like I can get out a mop (OK so THAT doesn't happen very often, but when it does..) and get those hard floors really clean. I always felt like it was a loosing battle with a carpet.

Good luck with your cleaning today!

FF,
we got rid of our carpet about 8 years ago and put down laminate floors throughout the house. The only carpet we have is above the garage in the bonus (junk) area.

DH really got some chores done around the house yesterday. He backed the cars and the Kabota out of the garage and scrubbed the garage floor down. We have had little birds eating the dog food and they had really left a mess.

Between rain showers he and DS washed 2 of the vehicles. First time they've had a good scrubbing in a while. I like to wash cars but only when the temperature is above 65 degrees :p .

Today, we didn't go to church cause I didn't want to sniff and cough through the service. :sick Plus, DH is feeling a little puney today. Had to go to Tractor Supply and pick up layer feed. My "pig chickens" were completly out.

Went to Lowe's to get some High Heat paint to spray my wood cookstove when we get it spiffed up. Also picked up a new toilet seat on clearance since ours just cracked.

Got a calendar for the new year so I gotta start transferring dates from last year. . . gotta remember those birthdays.

Oh, and if ya'll have any extra sunshine, please send some my way. I think I saw just a sliver today and it's supposed to be gloomy and grey all week. I NEED MY SUNSHINE :rant

Ho hum . . . woe is me. :( We've got 3-5 inches of rain headed our way. Maybe the sun will come out Friday.

Got homeschool started back up today. The boy's dad stopped in and had supper with us. He told me that the boys are going to Florida Thursday with their aunt & uncle. They were supposed to tell me this morning so I could double up their work. Busted!!

While they were working I made up enough rolls for the week and popped the extras in the freezer and made 2 batches of cinnamon rolls. Had to do 2 loads of laundry and put them in the dryer . . .again. Got the bathrooms scrubbed down and loaded the dishwasher with my "dust catcher" that sit around.

I placed 3 different orders for seed and got my records more organized. I'm ordering from Shumway's for the first time. Beekissed said she used them.

Supper was meatloaf, fried okra, mashed taters, baked beans and corn on the cob with some of the rolls I made.

You've got rain coming - we've got ICE on the way (an' lemme tell you - I prefer my ice in my margaritas). You were so productive today! What're we having for dinner tomorrow? :)

Gee punkin - you were busy today. Are you going to triple the boys work now that they are busted?

We have rain too. I had to work late because of my own laziness.
I usually go in and work a few hours a day during our time off at Christmas but because of a million reason I did not. Now I am paying for it with rush, rush, rush. I hate having to do all this year end stuff. Anyway, traffic was awful, the roads were wet and I could not see the road right in front of my car.

And yes, what are we having for dinner tomorrow.

Jenna, where are you located, up New England way? Yikes, I saw the pink on the radar map up that way. Yep, ice is worse, but I'm still grumblin about all our rain. :/

2dream, I hate it when I get lazy, too. Makes me frustrated with myself. I don't usually procrastinate, thanks to my mom's good example when I was little. But, when I do, I get tense and sometimes end up with a bad headache.

Hmmmm. . . supper tomorrow night? Something easy like tacos. Oh, and a sweet potato pie. :drool

Tacos and sweet potato pie sound good to me. Be sure and set a place for me and Jenna. I think we might be dropping in.
